I’m no longer a Republican because of people like the Freedom Caucus. I voted for Trump to change Washington not to listen to more excuses. I’m sick to death of excuses. We all know thery could have done ANYTHING they wanted with the bill once it got rolling. The damned democrats actually changed their Obamcare’s bill number and just moved on. No balls Republicans won’t do that so they can just get out of the way. I don’t care how Trump kills the Obama agenda.
The Freedom Caucus took more than $ 2 million from the healthcare lobby $87K from Trump hating Warren Buffet, huge sums from Trump hating Club For Growth and 144 k From Trump hating Koch brothers - so WHAT IS THAT ABOUT.
Make all the excuses you want for the Freedom Caucus but the fact is the days are passing and millions of Americans are still slaves to Obamacare and the Republicans have broken yet another promise.

He didn’t attack the Constitution. Quit with the theatrics. Trump is simply a pragmatist, who wants to get something done and knows that what the Freedom Caucus wants will never get passed through both houses of Congress. He’s just trying to put pressure on them now to work with him, so that he can get some of his agenda passed and recover from the embarrassing blow of the health care catastrophe.
Keep hoping, if you keep digging maybe you will see light at the other side of the tunnel.

Trump won the election and defeated Hillary which no other candidate running could have done. He is rolling back regulations and bringing light into the dark corners of American politics, exposing corruption and creating jobs.

You are a liar, plain and simple. They weren't cheerleading for Ryan; in fact they almost pulled the trigger to replace him. But with the election of Trump, and with Trump's smiling endorsements of Ryan, they backed off, held their noses, and voted for him like everyone else. If you have any facts otherwise, state them, and back them up.
And quit lying about the Kochs. You are from moveon.org, aren't you. when everyone was trashing the HFC a week ago, the Kochs said they would support them if the GOPe Leadership pulled their funding (the GOPe leadership HATES the HFC). I applaud the Kochs for having the guts to support these patriots. No, prove they are "bought", as you are so fond of saying. You are a liar.

That’s my feeling as well. Because a bunch of ideologues demand it, we now have 100% of Obamacare, instead of, say, 70% of it. Of course, they all get to sit in their mansions and feel superior as the rest of America suffers.
The sad thing is that so many people here are SOOOOO ready to jump off the Trump Train. I guess they would have preferred Hillary.
Demand a full repeal of the unconstitutional socialist Obamacare and replace it with freedom!!
Because they aren’t. They talk conservative and vote for Big Government.
If they were a cohesive conservative group they would have no trouble with Trump. There would have been modifications to the healthcare bill or honest disagreement and we would not have had the fiasco we did. I was happy not to have Obamacare II and the whole process gave a lot of exposure as to which members are truly conservative.
In the end the fiasco gives Trump more leverage to get a bill closer to the conservative standard. He will be fighting the Freedom Caucus to get there because its not in their donor’s interest.
I backed Cruz at first, too, as did the owner of this site (FR). There were 16 candidates, most people backed someone else. But you know that, right, Mr. disruptor?

Bad move by Trump. Ryan and the globalist big government GOPe RINOs are the problem not the freedom caucus. Trump is supposed to be draining the swamp by now, not swimming in it.

I am disappointed in Trump here. He was saved by the freedom caucus FROM AN ABSOLUTE TRAIN WRECK of horrible socialist legislation . Please don’t make our premiums higher to pay for middle class parasites and preexisting conditions. Absolutely unacceptable to your base . If you try it again ,we will stop you again. Wow. Read the comments. I can pick out the trolls who for months told us Trump would do the right thing. Just trust him. I liked a few of his ideas but moderate Conservative, he’s not.
I believe his strategy of implementing MAGA is to destroy the democrats in 2018 by dominating congress with trump endorsed members. Trump has the power of speech and tweet to influence elections at this point (something that even Mr. Charm himself, Barack Obama failed at) and it will only grow by next year.
In essence he wants to re-brand the GOP into a Trump party.
Nancy Pelosi voted against the bill because she’s a Democrat.
The Freedom Caucus voted against the bill because it was bad for us.
Big difference.
I’m OK with that. But I don’t want to see a finished product that doesn’t address ANYTHING on the list.
