Monday the far left site AlterNet published an interview with academic and author Noam Chomsky in which Chomsky warned that President Trump might stage a terror attack on the United States to rally support for his administration. Heres Chomsky from AlterNet:
I think that sooner or later the white working-class constituency will recognize, and in fact, much of the rural population will come to recognize, that the promises are built on sand. There is nothing there.
And then what happens becomes significant. In order to maintain his popularity, the Trump administration will have to try to find some means of rallying the support and changing the discourse from the policies that they are carrying out, which are basically a wrecking ball to something else. Maybe scapegoating, saying, Well, Im sorry, I cant bring your jobs back because these bad people are preventing it. And the typical scapegoating goes to vulnerable people: immigrants, terrorists, Muslims and elitists, whoever it may be. And that can turn out to be very ugly.
I think that we shouldnt put aside the possibility that there would be some kind of staged or alleged terrorist act, which can change the country instantly.

I came in here to post just that. Thanks.
If you want to know what the opposition is up to, just read what they are accusing us of doing.
It is all projection.
Yawn. Confirmation Bias is so yesterday.
They cant be dead soon enough.
Yeh..That Star Chamber was great !
Nothing like a little progressive psychological project to brighten up a cloudy day...what a waste of skin!
project = projection
Let’s hope that IF that ever happens the attack will be on old communists and not on real Americans.

In 1971, Kiyoshi Sakuma, a Japanese antiwar leader writing on behalf of a group of activists linked to the Japanese Communist Party and in contact with the Vietcong, sent American antiwar activist Mark Sacharoff a letter to forward to a list of American antiwar leaders viewed as sympathetic to their cause, petitioning their support to form a group promoting a media campaign against Nixon’s Vietnam policy. Chomsky was on the list. The others on the list were generally Communist Party members and fellow travelers: Sacharoff himself, Hans Bethe, Dave Dellinger, Richard Falk, Marvin Gettleman, Coretta Scott King, Gabriel Kolko, Robert Lifton, Norman Mailer, Mary McCarthy, J.B. Neilands (Joe Neilands), Linus Pauling, Sidney Peck, E.W. Pfeiffer, Eugene Rabinowitch, Susan Sontag, Benjamin Spock, Mrs. Dajmar Wilson. In response to the request, Chomsky signed his name to a fundraising letter, along with Richard Falk and George Wald, requesting money for a group called Education/Action Conference on U.S. Crimes of War.
And how many of the seemingly weekly mass shootings (which mysteriously have seemed to stop) were for the purpose of bring gun control front and center?
And the Dems might start a McCarthyist witch hunt over a bogus Russian conspiracy to distract people from their hideous failure of a candidate and their screaming lack of any ideas besides calling people racist.
Where’s the “Not that shit again!” guy?
I’m getting ready to hop a Greyhound to Washington and NYC and begin thrashing some of these idiots with my cane! Either that or “make a whip out of cords, (and) drive them all out of the temples (of justice & learning), and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables...” “but you have made it a den of thieves”.
(no irreverence or sacrilege meant)
Some of these villains in Congress, the Media & Academe ‘just need a good horsewhipping!’
The distinct odor of projection is strong with Comrade Chumpski.
