Like Europe in 1945, many are supporters and collaborators. Some were not smart enough to get out, others not able.
Hopefully those who are not will be spared, but there will be innocent casualties if one wishes to win.
And it looks like this president quietly intends to kill all the bad guys.

WaPo is blocked by the chrome Block Site extension, but I love the headline.

And who’s generating these “reports” of all the dead “civilians”?
I still remember the time when every dead jihadiscum with a smartphone camera was declared to be an unlawfully killed “independent journalist”.

Fewer will die than would die under ISIS. I believe Russia is doing Syria and we’ve got Iraq.

We never heard about all the killing Obama bragged about. Many were our own troops.
But boy oh boy, WaPo really cares now.

The UN needs to get non Islamics out. ISIS needs to be held responsible for not letting “civilians” go free.

What? Iraq and Syria have been calm the past 8 years, and Trump gets elected and all of a sudden panic spreads? Mighty insightful, WaPo!

Wait a sec...the news yesterday was that the Russkies are wiping out ISIS at a furious rate over there. How can they hit the enemy and all we can hit are civilians? Is there an agenda at WaPo?
To: Mariner
It also incentivizes the civilian population to resist ISIS as the lesser of two evils with the other being us breaking Uncle Sam’s boot off in their ass.

More BS. This is propaganda by the other side. The strikes are having an impact and the enemy is trying to sway public opinion to get them stopped.

I doubt that very much....those people have lived centuries in tribal wars and conflicts among themselves...they understand armed conflict of any kind brings with it death. Furthermore there is nothing that would make them trust the “infidel”....no matter what is done or not done.
