In 1967, after shooting Mutiny on the Bounty, Marlon Brando bought the atoll of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia as his secluded getaway from the dreaded klieg lights of Hollywood.
Fifty years later, after Barack Obama staged a mutiny against his party by refusing entreaties to lead the Resistance to Donald Trump, he flew to a luxury resort on Brandos island to evade the partisan clashes in Washington.
It seems fitting that Obama would end up at The Brando, as the resort is known, since the two men have much in common.
Marlon Brando is considered to be one of the greatest movie actors of all timeand yet he hated being an actor.
Barack Obama is considered to be one of the most compelling political campaigners of all timeand he hates being a politician.
The movie critic Pauline Kael once called Brando the rebel.
Obama, when asked to pick his favorite character from Star Wars, chose Han Solo because hes a little bit of a rebel.
Brando was a leftwing activist who participated in the civil rights and Native American movements.
Obama was a leftwing community organizer who became the most liberal president in our history.
Brando was a famous recluse.
Obama is famous for preferring his own company to that of others.
While at The Brando, Obama has been staying at a villa with its own plunge pool, private beach, and TV media room. Hes been working on his White House memoirs, reading a book about Teddy Roosevelts post-presidency, snorkeling, bike riding, riding outriggers and canoes, sampling the French cuisine at Les Mutinés restaurant, and watching the sun set from Bobs Bar. Obama issued a brief statement defending his signature domestic achievement during the recent ObamaCare brouhaha on Capitol Hill, but hes refused to take phone calls from Democrat politicians. However, while hes going French in French Polynesia, he does take an occasional call from his éminence grise, Valerie Jarrett.
Languange...smanguage... Meh...
Mine eyes have yet to adjust.
Picture BO’B in a little grass skirt, halved coconut shells cover his nipples.
He must be missing his family terribly...?
Tahitian actress Tarita Teriipaia, who played Brando's love interest in Mutiny on the Bounty, became his third wife on August 10, 1962. She was 20 years old, 18 years younger than Brando, who was reportedly delighted by her naïveté.
Teriipaia became the mother of two of his children: Simon Teihotu Brando (born 1963) and Tarita Cheyenne Brando (born 1970). Brando also adopted Teriipaia's daughter, Maimiti Brando (born 1977) and niece, Raiatua Brando (born 1982).
Brando and Teriipaia divorced in July 1972.
Interesting, Liz. As we get older, men and women both aspire to have youthfulness around them.
And when sexual love wanes, a mate with a youthful heart and energy for life is a great blessing.
If we could eliminate the following from Obama's verbal vocabulary without a teleprompter: I, I, I, me, me, uh uh, and ummmm. He might not be able to talk nor pee without a teleprompter.
You get no argument from me on this FRiend. :)
So do I
Say, he might not even be there.
Say, he might not even be there.>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Very true. He could very well be fiddling with the Castro family in Havana.

I’m suspicious. There are lots of stories and images of Brando Island - but NOT one with him actually on it. The articles about him and Brando Island are all accompanied by images taken when he spent time with Branson.
but NOT one with him actually on it.
Agreed.
The most nefarious place he could be is North Korea..
Ping to nip’s question on whether there’s extradition treaty with “brando’s island”:

And blueplum’s answer; no extradition treaty with that nation:

IMHO the length of time he stays abroad, reflects what’s happening behind the scenes in regards to his crimes & their investigation.
