Apparently, Sarah Silverman is ready to reach across the aisle.
Despite her wildly partisan opinions, the lefty comedienne plans to “connect with un-like-minded people” in a new weekly talk show, Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva reported. Called I Love You, America, the Hulu show will be a forum for Silverman’s political commentary on the events of the week.
“The new program is designed to be balanced,” Andreeva explained, “with her looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously.”
We’ll see how that works out.
A vocal critic of all things conservative, Silverman has spewed vitriol and vulgarity toward many ideological opponents. In a much-discussed February tweet, she called for the military overthrow of ‘Mad King’ Trump. And her hyper-sexual “comedy” has included rape jokes and degraded Christians.
But Andreeva says the new series “promises to be funny.” Hmm.

She probably watched Samantha Bee crashing and burning and thought, “not me”.
I’d rather poke my eyes out using a spoon.
No one even remotely conservative should give this clown the time of day. She is no more worthy of conservative attention than the MadCow or any number of other left-wing ranting loons.
Hopefully no conservatives are going to fall for this. I guess they’re getting wise and not going on these left wing attack programs, so the left has to make it seem like they’re really interested in reaching out.
Anyone who bites and goes on this show thinking that they’re views will be heard and respected is painfully naive.
I visualize this as “let’s find some stupid conservatives and educate them with lots of humor so they aren’t offended and convert them to liberalism”.
Good Luck Sarah. Not that that will help.
Sarah will be connecting with someone other than me.
The outrageous things she has said in the past put her out of reach of my willingness to endure her persona.
Some things go beyond the pale, and Sarah went so far beyond even that, that I am not able to strike it from my mind.
I would always wonder when she would revert to her old ways, and cause me to look like the supreme sucker of all time.
Sarah, some of us tried to moderate you over time.
This is why. You drove us off so fiercely, we just don’t care what you do any longer.
I’ll stay on my side of the river, thank you. The side that reads books, analyzes news shows effectively and talks to smart people that don’t know Miss Silverman’s name.
As for Sarah Silverman, shut up and show yours.
