Would someone please explain to me why in the world the Republican House, which passed multiple repeal bills under Obama’s presidency, can’t pass one of those again? And what good does electing a Republican majority do when, with the House, Senate, Congress and soon Supreme Court, we cannot accomplish conservative objectives? I’m getting angry, and there will be consequences at the next election. If Republicans squander what they have been given this year, they will never recover.
Slow down, Phil. We are 66 days into Trump’s Presidency.
“Would someone please explain to me why in the world the Republican House, which passed multiple repeal bills under Obamas presidency, cant pass one of those again?”
It was all for show. They knew the votes meant nothing except the ability to come home to the constituents and say “I voted for repeal. Re-elect me.”
The whole thing was figured out in the coke filled parties where the dims and reps all show up at 5 pm and laugh at the con they are pulling and what a bunch of idiots we are for believing anything they say.

Here’s your lesson. If they did that it might actually pass. Think about it.
There is a broad spectrum of viewpoints on the Right from centrist all the way to ultra Right, with many points in between. This is why we struggle to reach consensus on many issues. In contrast, the Left finds it easy to reach consensus because they are almost uniformly way far Left. Their spectrum of viewpoints is far more narrow.
We on the Right somehow need to work together for the common good. And yes, that means learning to compromise to get Reagan's 80% and live to fight another day for the remaining 20%.

Yup. It’s like hiring a plumber who doesn’t show up, then when he does finally admits he can’t do the job.
I voted straight GOP ticket in 2014. Then just a few Republicans this past November, one in particular.
We’ve listened for years while the Grand Old Party complained they would if they could, but darn it—they just didn’t have the numbers.
If it is so affected by Stockholm syndrome after tugging its forelock to `rats for years, if the GOP isn’t comfortable using power to accomplish our agenda, to turn back `rat statism, if it has become that old and ossified—as you say, after the next election they may not just be a minority. They will go the way of the Whigs.
Why continue to pretend to have two parties if they are actually pretty much agreed on issues and our `wild card’ President Trump is stymied by their intransigence. If the swamp can’t be drained because our guys are some of the worst critters in it ....
