The collapse of Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare was bad news for Donald Trumps HHS secretary, Tom Price, who will have to deal with bitter recriminations between his old friends in the House and his new boss in the White House.
But you know what would make Price feel a whole lot worse? Being replaced in the House by a Democrat.
For the first time, Democratic hopes of picking off this seat, once occupied by Senator Johnny Isakson, and before that by Newt Gingrich, are beginning to look like something more than wishful thinking. With the first round of the jungle primary fast approaching on April 18, Democratic candidate (and former congressional staffer) Jon Ossoff is no longer just an incredibly well-funded neophyte likely to make a runoff against the survivor of an internecine battle between Republicans. Hes now clearly competitive in the runoff as well as the first round.

what a flippin crap stretch on Price, then using Price to make your article...
His are the only campaign adds I have heard starting several weeks ago. Lots of money backing him.
Tom Price proved himself not worth a crap. He actually supported that horrible Obamacare 2.o bill. He is finished in my boo. How could he mislead our President so badly?
I’ll believe it when I see it. I live in this district. He does have a lot of ads, but I think Democrats are just hyping up a candidate who’ll eventually lose by around double digits.
So what? What am I missing?
Kathleen Sebilius was raised from the dead as an out of office former governor to run the HHS, for Obama.
Tom Price does not have to be defeated in office.
Price never did anything in the House and to make things worse, he was Boehner’s boy.
And Texas is in play, too.
noooooooooooooooooooo
TX and GA are now swing states . I was told that off the media, and the polls . SIGH.
Moody has lots of ads out
People are going to demand, and get, universal taxpayer funded health care of some sort.
Either Trump figures out how to do it without destroying the system, or the Democrats will figure it out with their new majorities in 2018.
Somebody has to get it in the neck. It might as well be the insurance industry.
How does he have a chance after the Star Wars commercial? No way he wins. Other than possibly too many Republican candidates to concentrate the vote.
I would agree with your assessment. The worst Tom Price ever did vote percentage wise was 61%. He had two race since 2004 where he was virtually unopposed.
Unless Karen Handel is found in bed with a dead boy or live girl, she will be the next Rep from Georgia.
Where does he advertise? What are his target markets?
Period.
In 1969, a Democrat in WI was elected to succeed Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird; was it David Obey?
I'm sure they'll be glad to get it in the neck. Insurance companies are finding themselves in more and more situations where they're being asked to sell crap that isn't profitable for them.
A health insurance carrier today is similar to a property/casualty insurance company that is trying to dump all of its customers who are located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Hollywood backing is in play so beware. Total war.
