House Speaker Paul Ryan got down on one knee and begged for congressmen to vote to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, a report claims.
According to a detailed account in the Washington Post, the Wisconsin native got down on a knee to plead with Rep. Don Young on Thursday night, just hours before the House was supposed to vote on the bill, because he remained undecided.
When the speaker finished with Young, he spent about 10 minutes in an animated discussion with Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), one of the bills most outspoken critics, the Post noted. At one point, the speaker took his own arms and held them up, his hands at face level, then slowly lowered them to his waist presumably trying to demonstrate his belief that the bill will lower costs.

If true, that’s pathetic. At least Boner would have been threatening the naysayers with loss of committee assignments, etc.
The American Public is becoming very weary of the Soap Opera Dramatics being conducted in the privacy of political closets.
What’s missing here ? It seems this is the Daily Caller quoting from WAPOO
Left uncovered on are the objectionable sections of the bill and who put them there. Or why it was constructed to conform in order to meet the Senate Parliamentarian’s objections. So such things a illegals getting Obama Health or requiring Congressional Legislators both House and Senate and their staffs become included . Even mentioned
This reminds us of another disastrous begging scene, when W’s Treasury Sec. Henry Paulsen got down on his knees to beg Nancy Pelosi to back the TARP bailout for banks .including Goldman Sachs, where he owned a boat-load of stocks from his previous employment there. It’s terrible to have these memories ..
Excellent idea! Please do.
IMHO, Mr Brat would make a fine Speaker of the House.
Paul Ryan is a complete and utter joke
Paul Ryan is a complete and utter joke
It may be a nice sentiment, but I don’t believe the account frankly. This isn’t to say I’m on his side of this at all but it is getting hard to distinguish the bullshit from legitimate dissent on the Republican side.
Give a name, date and time this ‘person’ said this and actually was in on the event - whatever it was. Not interested in a bystander, knowledgeable source or other ‘contact’.
Put up some names, dates and some places or Shut the F@ck Up.
It is still Ryan’s fault, BTW.
The fact that the Republicans permitted, and continue to allow, this clown to be the Speaker says more about the GOP than it does about Ryan himself.
Look Paul when you go down on your knees to the Democrats first...dont come to us afterwards and offers us “sloppy seconds” legislation
Ryan failed miserably at his job. Hes useless.

The Democrats must be thanking their lucky stars everyday that Paul Ryan is the Speaker. He was very useful to Obama and is still very useful to them.

Repeal Obamacare.
Ex-Speaker walking...

You really think so? I doubt he leaves anytime soon. Amazing as it sounds, the GOP doesn’t seem interested in replacing him. They are content to let Ryan probe the depths of incompetence.
Obviously you outside-the-loop heathen are not familiar with the concept of leading from the knee.
Not to be confused, or worse, combined with leading from behind - especially when those out front had beans for lunch.
Agree on all points. Very good comments!
Did he offer a diamond ring at least? That might have sealed the deal. ;)
Why was the 2015 bill that was presented to Obama changed so much?
Hey Paul, you don’t get on your knees unless you plan to give a few Lewinsky’s to your compadres
