They should have taped HIS mouth shut. Feed him intravenously.
Wow! It took me forever to post this due to something going on with the FR server or maybe a DNS server or some other issue that isn’t resolving. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Anyway, If I really had my way, anyone who did something like this would be given not only a mandatory decade in prison but also a physical punishment equal to what they did to the dog or any other animal when animal cruelty is involved. I see no difference between doing this to an animal as I would if it was done to a child. Zero difference. Chances are very good anyone who did this to an animal would soon do it to a person; probably someone innocent and defenseless. Grrrrrr. Get a rope.
5 years? Are you kidding me. What a joke.
Animals are not equivalent to humans.
Years ago as a Phone Guy in the Hood I saw some pretty terrible animal and child abuse.
I would call the authorities and report the people.
My supervisors told me to mind my own business and fix the phones and leave.
I told them, FU,you send me into that filth,I see it,I report it.
They stoped sending me into the Hood.
What is it with the Ghetto and pit-bulls??? They are not all trained for fighting, are they?
I have a friend who volunteers at a “downtown” animal shelter. Its 90% pit-bulls. founding abused or roaming the streets in “the hood.”
My friend has decided the shelter is just another welfare program - once again, someone else cleaning up the mistakes, irresponsibility, and stupidity of our least civilized citizens.
What the guy did was wrong. He deserves a stiff penalty for it, and to be sent to prison.
I would have urged a 50 year sentence, one of which would be a stint in prison, with forty-nine years suspended with the provision this never happen again. He would be under the direct supervision of a parole officer for the remaining forty-nine years once out of prison.
He would be required to do 1000 hours of community service in an animal shelter.
If he was involved in any cruelty, or abuse to animals or an infraction involving harm to humans during his parole, he would serve the remaining forty-nine years of his fifty year prison sentence.
At first upon release, he would report to the parole officer once a month, then once a quarter as his demeanor was observed and it was reasoned enough to warrant it.
A guy that would do this to an animal, is highly suspect of what he would do with other life forms, particularly humans.
So five years is too long in some ways off the bat, and too short in other ways.
This guy needs to be kept on a short leash.
One year behind bars is not a cake-walk. Five years under observation is too short.
The SOB is lucky he was not caught by the right people. Maybe in the joint he’ll get his bell rung on a daily basis.
I understand both sides and hold little animosity towards those that don’t feel as protective towards dogs as I do. However, just as with humans, people that purposely harm dogs should pay a price.
I honestly feel that part of my duty as a human is to raise as many rescue dogs as I can afford for as long as I am able.
I’d like to wrap some industrial strength duct tape around his GD neck. Sorry bastard.
Yet killing an unborn human is still “empowering” and a “choice”.
He gets the felony discount. 2 for the price of 1. Sentence to run concurrently with his other 15 yr felony.
Too lazy to take the dog to a pound or out to a field and shoot it in the head (not that I’m condoning that). What a guy.
This made me ill. There are lots of animal lovers in prisons. May they give him some animal love justice!
Which one is the dog?
This POS SOB should get the “CHAIR”.
Dang. I only got 22 comments when I posted this this morning.

But, as long as more get to see this, the better. Kudos.
I’d like to give him 5 years worth of ass kicking.
Not to worry, I bet there are animal lovers in prison and miss their pets and will be welcoming him to his new abode.
Am I missing something? Taping the dog’s mouth didn’t increase his prison sentence. Consequently, regardless of your position, isn’t the judge’s comments and sentence just virtue signaling?
I would think that we would all agree that there should be some penalty.
