Wow, I’d love to hear your story of being, however briefly, an Iranian hostage.
I must correct my narrative.
I dated this Persian guy in the early 70’s, way before the Iranian hostage crisis of the late 70’s.
His name was Ali and he was a sweet guy, used to make his own yogurt.
At that time he definitely called it Persia....nobody even knew where Iran was.
Dated him for a year but he wanted me to go to Persia with him, meet his mother.
That was the end of that.

Good interview with former Sec of State, George Shultz. Did you know the guy never blinks?

Pundit Matthew Dowd was so happy that he could barely contain himself. And Chuck Schumer says “you should be circumspect about casting aspersions especially if you are not well informed.”
Heh. What’s that mean?

John Kasich hadn’t been in front of a camera for almost an hour and he was going nuts. Said it was Senator McCain who got him involved in the Russian thing.
Who knew?
What Ryan had was never going to pass and I think he knew it. He had two other fail safe parts of the bill. If either one failed the whole bill was basically neutered. He had to have known that and had to have designed it that way for obvious reasons. He never wanted it to pass.
I think Trump figured that out after it was too late.So the patriot he is he worked as hard as he could bringing in House members by the dozen so no on could say he didn't try hard.
He tried as hard as he honestly could. But in the end he made sure it was known to everyone that this was now Ryancare. I think Ryan also may have stopped the vote since if Trump had another week, kept bringing in house members at the rate he was, Ryan realized it might pass. He didn't want that so he stopped the vote along with Pence's help. Remains to be seen if they even told Pres. Trump or not.
Trump is as smart as we ever could have elected,he will be a great potus.
Yep,I think Trump is far smarter than anyone has given him credit for. This is the kind of guy who could be surrounded by bad guys posing as good in an inner circle and bad guys in an outer circle and grab a machine gun and shoot his way out 99% of the time.I’ll bet on Trump every time.
re: unease about Gorsuch
The “tell” from Gorsuch that makes me mistrust him came during the episode of Trump’s first Executive Order on the Immigration Pause, when President Trump made the comment about Judge Robarts being a “so-called” judge. You can legitimately make the argument that it was an inappropriate thing to say.
However, Gorsuch also went out of his way to tell the Senators who were interviewing him, their staff, and even his own handlers such florid comments as Trump was disrespectful of his “brothers and sisters of the robe”, to mention just one.
“Brothers and Sisters of the Robe”. Really?!?! ‘Nuff said, at least for me. I believe he’s at least another Roberts.
Just shows how stupid people are. Also shows that the more free goods you give the more people want. Now ask only those who pay for zero-care what they want.
I really don’t know.
Exactly. Nine out of 10 Medicare recipients have supplementary/gap insurance. AARP makes a bundle on it.
Nothing surprised me anymore.
All I know is that the left supports their leadership 24/7 no matter what they do,maybe we should try it.Like Rush says, winning is always better than the alternative. Let's hope Trump wins on our major objectives.
It’s too early to give up Dan. Trump is undoubtedly still learning big league politics behind the scenes in a hands-on fashion. He needs a little more time.
There were many American women who married Iranians and found them to be very different once they returned to Iran with their husbands. We had many consular cases dealing with American wives trying to bring their children out of the country after a divorce or separation. It was very difficult if not impossible. And wives to get their husband’s permission to travel. Even under the Shah, there were religious taboos.
it takes a true patriot well versed in Capitalism to buck the something for free crowd.Even then there is a price to pay until it starts working. Than the price gets smaller and smaller.
Look for incremental hits. The one on the West Coast about a month ago was one, there was another one on the East coast, there will be more.
I also hear a lot is going on we never hear about.
Understood RockLobster. I was in the medical business for a very long time. I know how the game is played.
Here is the clip with Wallace and Jordan.

The other 10% don't give a dam or are so strong they don't need him.
If we were expecting a 100% potus we didn’t get it.
Wow can I adopt one!
McCain a perfect example.
Somehow I don't see Pres.Trump getting rolled. He is just not the type to lose big on any deal.
