Infowars apologizes for 'Pizzagate' coverage
washingtonexaminer.com ^ | 3/24/17 | Daniel Chaitin

Infowars apologized on Friday for its role in perpetuating the "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory that connected a Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant to a child sex ring run by Hillary Clinton.

Talk show host Alex Jones, an avid Trump supporter who runs the site, went on air to read a statement where he personally apologized to James Alefantis, the owner of Comet Ping Pong, which was repeatedly harassed and threatened for its alleged connection to Pizzagate. It was at that restaurant in December that a man from North Carolina walked in and fired a rifle as he looked for evidence supporting the conspiracy theory that there were underground tunnels through which children were trafficked.

Agree.

Plus the Comet Ping Pong house band has real photos of people being abused in their videos.

The controversy over the basement was caused by Alefantis posting a photo on Instagram and calling it a “killroom.”

When people asked about it, he told Fox News that he didn’t have a basement. Then someone produced an interview he did on the Comet Ping Pong pizza sauce and he said he “stored it in the basement.”

Then the photos of him in a basement turned up. (Probably from his other restaurant.)

My opinion is that he’s a sick puppy, but I don’t think he’s transporting kids through his basement or non-basement.

Thank you. The Sandy Hook conspiracy peddled by Alex Jones and his crew is as despicable as his 9-11 truther garbage.

How this filth became a mouth piece of some on the “Right” is incomprehensible.

The leftist media didn’t “get carried away” with an unsupported narrative.

That narrative was being churned out and directed. It was purposed and planned.

Certainly, but you must agree that it has taken on a life of its own. The seeds were planted and after that everything - true or not true - was defacto proof of the larger allegation. That is how these things work.

Consider the false story that Homeland Security was buying a couple of thousand armored vehicles. The day the click-bait blog post was made for that story there was a Navy Times article that briefly mentioned that the Marine Corps had a contract to refurbish their MRAP vehicles. Homeland Security was not mentioned anywhere in the narrative nor did they have anything to do with it. That pseudo-fact grew into a firestorm here on FR, in the right wing media, and on other web forums to the point that a congressman actually called for hearings. What ever happened to that hearing? Nothing. It was not true. Homeland Security had about a dozen of these vehicles given to them by the DRMO program for the military. Reportedly only about half of them were operable. Local law enforcement and even some state police agencies took them. We can debate the merits of law enforcement having armored vehicles, but this story was an absolute lie that grew like a grass fire and disappeared without a whimper because it was not true. However, within the last month I saw a poster here mention something to the effect of “Homeland Security got thousands of armored vehicles under Obama.” The damage was done and this person clearly believed something that was not true.

That is my point. I am becoming more skeptical of things that I read - not because they are not true on their face and not because they do not fit my worldview narrative. I just believe there is enough stuff to be upset about that I know to be true. I still read them and consider them, but just because I read it here on FR or elsewhere does not make something true.

That is my word of caution for consideration. FRegards

The name of the video is Neutered Noel. It’s on YouTube. Slow it down and watch it at .25.

Why would I make something like that up?

That was pretty much my take on it (regardless if whether he has involvement sick masochistic pedophilia ---or not)

Thank you for the first few paragraphs you wrote also. Alefantis can hardly complain? I forgot about that aspect...

I saw the pics of the basement foundation/flooring work. It looked like there could have been plumbing/sewage installation and/or re-working being done. It appeared there would have remained enough overhead clearance once flooring foundation was established the space could have been in some way utilized.

Are you saying the "pizza sauce in the basement" comment was about another Comet Ping Pong location? Or perhaps another Alefantis pizzaria?

I was under the impression the freezers that were remarked about by Alefantis; 'looked like kill rooms' of just "killrooms", could have been installed in a basement area too, though I could be wrong in having guessed about restaurant freezer/cooler location.

I did see the remark about the pizza sauce "kept in the basement" in a previously published interview. It was part of coverage of Comet Ping Pong that included mention of Alefantis cooking down and canning (in large jars, I take it) his own pizza sauce. That makes economic sense, and ingredient control "sense". Otherwise a pizza operator has to buy cans of pre-made sauce.

I completely agree! Alex Jones has a long held reputation as a scam artist.

For years he’s pushed the belief that 9-11 was an inside job perpetrated by the government. He also believes that other tragic events like the killing of the children at Sandy Hook was a hoax, claiming that the grieving parents were actors paid by the government.

With almost every tragic event, Alex Jones can be counted on to come up with some outrageous conspiracy theory.

Thanks for the reply!

I think his Buck’s restaurant is the one with the basement.

But what floored me was, “Why is Fox News giving this guy 30 minutes of air time??”

What was so urgent to all the media outlets that they had to ignore the Podesta emails to get this little nobody on stage?

Then it hit me, “oh, they are trying to bury the Podesta emails.”

There were people involved with the govt who said that 9-11 didn’t happen like the govt said. I used to get a newsletter from someone who’d been in elected govt and still worked with the govt, who said it was not true the things being told about 9-11. This guy was a great patriot.

So he takes back his original statements. Why?

Check out # 68:

"James Alefantis, John Podesta, Tony Podesta were suspected of pedophilia because they make jokes about pedophilia on social media [27], promote musicians who celebrate pedophilia [28], support artists who depict pedophilia [29], and are friends with convicted pedophiles."

Did you ever watch any of the videos of Comet Ping Pong's house band? They are full of actual photographs of children being hurt, including a boy tied to a table nude with blood on his buttocks.

Comet Ping Pong advertised this band and invited ALL AGES.

Check out graphic at # 27 , and comment at # 53 .

Now in the case of Sandy Hook all he did was have guests on his show from DIFFERENT perspectives to hash it out.

Regarding Sandy Hook, the "different perspective" that Jones "hashed out" involved the childish proposition that crisis actors staged the shooting. It was all about ketchup and make-up, no children died. I'd love to see Jones take his side show to Sandy Hook, Connecticut, rent a auditorium, and do a live remote show and explain to the folks, face to face, how they were all duped.

What a clown and what a travesty to put forward such a hurtful discussion.
