Disgusting: The Freedom Caucus Saves Obamacare Again
american spectator ^ | David Catron

Posted on 03/25/2017 5:33:48 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

AHCA was pulled from the floor yet again this afternoon, and it now is probable that Obamacare will be the law of the land for years to come. This is an utter disaster for U.S. health care, not to mention individual liberty, and the responsibility rests squarely on shoulders of a small cadre of political opportunists with the effrontery to call themselves the “House Freedom Caucus.”

These people held out for the impossible — full repeal of Obamacare in one fell swoop — and have thus destroyed the only realistic opportunity their party will have in the near future to eradicate the law’s individual and employer mandates, enact entitlement reform, expand HSAs, defund Planned Parenthood, halt the metastasis of Medicaid, and cut its myriad taxes.

Moreover, they have made a mockery of their group’s name by perpetuating the increasingly oppressive and powerful administrative state, leaving their constituents to the tender mercies of Beltway bureaucrats whose contempt for the taxpayers who support them is exceeded only by the breathtaking incompetence with which they mismanage everything they touch.

It’s really amazing, especially given that the owner of this site has stated that he’s for full repeal, and not the homobamacare lite turd sammich that lyin’ ryan puked up.

And yet these chamber of commies shills, whom I suspect are paid trolls, come onto his front porch and p*ss all over it.

Bravo!!

Thank you!

Then what did his executive order do? I’m not looking for an argument, just illumination. You seem much better versed in legal matters than I and I appreciate your insight.

Because (and you already know this) Paul RINO and his GOPe buddies NEVER intended to repeal 0'care! It was "safe" to "repeal" when they knew it would be vetoed. Now that the President will sign it, they won't pass a complete repeal Bill. Even if there was a replace Bill ready to go five minutes after passing the repeal.

Yet, a bunch of morons on FR and every other Conservative website want to blame the Freedom Caucus! Boggles my damn mind!

yan tried to perpetrate a huge scam involving 1/6 of our economy. He tried to ram it through for the benefit of the mega health service lobbies. The Freedom Caucus did us all a favor.

Its time for the GOP-e to include the Freedom Caucus in drafting legislation. This was a GOP-e crony bill designed to hand our health care to Insurance Companies and Big Parm, uncaring about the people.IT WAS RAMMED THROUGH. This AHCB legislation was beneath the President, he should not have supported it.

The GOP-e is once again assuring the re-election of leftists in 2018. Someone needs to kick their asses. Ryan and McConnell have to go.

I just want our representatives representing us for once.

Everybody is so busy trying to pay for the raising of families or individuals that don’t work that the destitute are doing great and are growing families, the rest of the country (which pays for this crap) has been slowly dying.

For years the Republicans have run for office under the REPEAL AND REPLACE banner.

Never did I hear a Republican running for office under SMALL CHANGES TO OBAMACARE banner as RyanCare became.

I am positive of that. From the amendment.. veterans who are eligible for, but not enrolled in VA coverage would no longer qualify for tax credits...
I.e. If I were to get disabled because I am a veteran I would be forced to use the va gulag of death. Other individuals with tax credits were not targeted.. In short, illegals and other subsidy takers get top docs.. veterans get VA death by waiting care. No choice for veterans, but other groups receive better care and choices. Why would veterans be subjected to this?

We will never fully repeal much less replace socialized medicine. It is generational ingrained in even so called conservative ideas of healthcare and need. And no this Ryan care bill really did only one thing, replace people with badges and guns(IRS) as collectors of fines with insurance companies as collectors of fines. While hanging the whole failing healthcare system around the R’s kneck. Thank you freedom caucus for not letting the Dems off the hook. Both parties are owned by the healthcare industry and that aint gonna change. Full serfdom in our future.

what’s the value in “winning” if it’s a crap deal for the American people?

There is NOTHING in me that rejoices in a win for Trump, just for the sake of it, if it screws me over.

Author is full of shit!

All of those times the GOP House passed obamacare repeal bills, they passed ACTUAL repeal bills that repealed the original ACA bill lock, stock and barrel. The RyanCare bill is NOT a repeal bill and it is NOT what President Trump promised us.

In fact, President Trump’s administration had zip to do with writing the RyanCare bill, which is something writen by the insurance companies that Paul Ryan pulled out of his ass in a secret room and then introduced as whole cloth with NO input from ANYONE, JUST LIKE OBAMACARE was!

The RyanCare bill was 100% unrelated to those other, earlier, fake efforts by the House to repeal obamacare. The RyanCare bill was FAR, FAR worse than obamacare itself, guaranteed to cost folks between 50-64 WAY more than the massively unaffordable obamacare premiums we currently pay.

RyanCare did NOTHING to eliminate the obamacare policy mandates making health insurance ridiculously unaffordable.

RyanCare did NOT allow insurance to be sold across state lines.

RyanCare did NOT bring back the medical system BEFORE obamacare.

We are not stupid. Stupid people did not elect President Trump. We know when people like Ryan are lying, and he’s ALWAYS been a liar and a fuching weasel!

The Conservative Cause are HEROS for standing up to Paul Ryan, a stance that allowed time for millions of us to raise our voices and ultimately convince WAY more Congressmen to oppose this than just the Conservative Caucus.

My apologies to Mark. I was looking down the list of the Freedom Caucus and got mixed him up with Justin Amash who is right below him. Mark’s a good guy but he failed to deliver his block after getting everything he and Cruz asked for in their joint demand letter. So I’m still not happy with him.

How is Obamacare saved? Phase Two is still operative. Trump can issue a waiver to EVERY AMERICAN to opt out. The Secretary of HHS can still make broad changes to the bill. Let’s Do this!

Will believe it when it happens.

Repeal 0bamacare in its entirety, then repeal every single law and statute that causes insurance to be more expensive, such as requiring certain things to be covered (look at feminists with birth control), or unable to purchase in other states.

A pin the donkey blame game.

Fact is, passage of Ryancare would have disgustingly saved Obamacare as well. Ryan's 3D diplomacy, no doubt, pushing a bad bill badly.

Exactly. It would’ve been terrible and insolvent just like Obozocare, but this time the Republicans and Trump would’ve owned it. Ramming this garbage healthcare bill through after browbeating or buying enough congressmen off would’ve been the height of hypocrisy after all their complaining about Obozocare. I’m still very glad Trump won the election and I still support him but on this one, he just plain missed.

Ryan and team RINO set themselves up for failure.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The e-GOP is so far out of touch with the People that they couldn’t pass a cream puff fart even if they had been administered a mass enema, and dozens of glycerin suppositories each.

They are so inept that they have incurable legislative constipation.Take a good look at Ryan and McConnell, and they are so constipated that Ryan farts from his health continuously and McConnell is continually grunting sub voce while he is turning the sickly yellow of the jaundiced.

Let the Freedom Caucus draft a few pieces of health care legislation, and you will see that it is righteous, trans-formative and fair, unlike this flatulent piece of crap Ryan put forward.

No joke, a lot of these congressmen would be a lot better if they sat in their office and played Solitaire for their entire term. Trading one garbage healthcare plan for another is not progress.
