Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.
Ryan was caught on an audio file from Octoberobtained by Breitbart News and published a couple weeks agosaying he is not going to defend Donald Trumpnot now, not in the future. While the audio file does not make the comments clear, Ryans staff later claimed that it was specifically about the Access Hollywood tape scandal from the election. The audio tape of Ryan, recorded from a House GOP members conference call, does not make that context clear.
Many allies of the president and several White House officials over the weeks since have confirmed to Breitbart News that the president is concerned that Ryan may not have hisor his agendasbest interests at heart. Ryans failure to deliver the votes on healthcare cement Trumps skepticism of Ryan, they say.

Louie Gohmert threw his hat in the ring one time.
I think he talked about maybe doing it, but my memory is not clear
My local online newspaper is calling this a humiliating defeat for President Trump.
This is probably what Paul Pelosi Ryan and the corrupt establishment wanted all along, something they could frame this way as humiliating to President Trump.
Of course, it doesn’t work around here because we had a feeling all along, Paul Ryan wasn’t working for President Trump’s or even our best interest. If any congress critters are reading here, DUMP PAUL RYAN!
Thank you,
CGato
Either would be great.
Get him OUT— Ill take any conservative. Don’t do another #NEVER TRUMP idiot!!
1) That would mean a real conservative would have to step up. Last time, not one did.
2) Would be just as effective to have anyone, RINO or otherwise, who actually did the job and, like a captain who doesn’t share the general’s views, says yes sir & carries them out anyway.
Pat Buchanan would be an awesome speaker,

Seems to have recovered OK.
Dan Webster ran last time, got a dozen votes or so. He’s no Gohmert or Gowdy, but would still have done a better job than Paul RINO.
Next up on Trump’s chopping block: Mitch McConnell. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
True, since Mitch shows no predilection to play hardball with Schumer.McConnell could have sent Schumer scurrying back under the rock he emerged from, instead McConnell accepted the slow confirmation process designed to delegitimize President Trump.
McConnell has to go.
Ryan is NWO and has been ever since he became speaker.
He had seven years to come up with a plan.He had already submitted a complete kill obabacare bill to zero several times. Blowing that opportunity tells you to forget anything he says and just look at what he does.
You are right.
Not just once but many many times.
Until....he spent a weekend with mitt Romney and then all of a sudden the speakership wasn't such a bad idea.
Mitt obviously found what many men have,a price.
Ryan is a socialist, pro immigration and a conservative hating rino of the worst sort of mankind. A fool, a liar, and a thief of taxpayers monies and an unjust and weak leader of Conservatives he claims to represent. Like obamacare, he needs to be repealed once for all.
[Put in whomever runs the Freedom Caucus.]
Good idea.
Is Newt Gingrich in Congress??
Another FR post has just been put up discussing Gowdy as the replacement.
This may not be as easy as we hope, because there's a contingent of Republicans who are scared to death of ending the bennies for some of their constituents, and actually hope an improved "Obamacare" remains. They keep their control over us that way.
I doubt that are as passionate as true conservatives/Freedom Caucusers but there are more of them. Never mind, what benefits 10% is hated by the 90% whose pockets are picked.
Very simple; Repeal and replace with nothing except a pot of cash to help those who can't help themselves. Free market competition, catastrophic plans, tort reform, HSA's would drop coverage rates 50%-75%...almost everyone could afford it.
Remember when Ryan wowed us in the early days of him calmly attacking Obama in that health care meeting? Somewhere along the way he was given “an offer you can’t refuse”, and he’s been flaking out ever since.
Thanks for this notification. I would back Gowdy strongly for the Speakership, but I doubt he’ll get a chance. Ryan will cling to that office with a death-grip. It would take the Jaws of Life to pry him loose.
