In Wake of Rockville Rape, School Superintendent Accuses Parents of Racism
Townhall ^ | 3/23/2017

Posted on 03/24/2017 2:05:50 AM PDT by Altura Ct.

In the wake of an alleged brutal rape at Rockville High School in Maryland by two illegal aliens last week, Montgomery County Superintendent Dr. Jack Smith is accusing parents of racism and xenophobia. He also claims threats are being made against students and schools.

"While I know this tragic incident has become part of a national political debate, I want to remind community members that the lives of real students have been forever affected," Smith sent in an email Thursday morning. "While many have chosen to engage civilly in the conversation, far too many have crossed the line with racist, xenophobic calls and emails. MCPS is working with law enforcement to identify those who are making threats toward our students and schools. This behavior will not be tolerated in our community."

Nowhere in the email was it mentioned the suspects are in the country illegally, with at least one facing deportation.

Parents have been protesting outside of Smith's office in recent days and did not mince words about the situation during a public meeting Tuesday night. One parent said he took his daughter out of school last year because of an unsafe environment.

Smith avoided questions about the alleged sexual assault for days and had to be confronted by a reporter in the parking lot outside of his office before finally answering questions. He is in charge of 204 schools in the district.

Meanwhile, Republican Governor Larry Hogan is demanding answers.

"Why is an 18-year-old man in a class with 13 or 14-year-old girls? Why was his status not known to those folks? Why was he allowed to enter the country after he was picked up for illegally crossing the border—both of them? So there are a lot of questions,” Hogan told Fox 5. "My biggest concern is the Montgomery County School System and their lack of cooperation and the lack of information they've been providing. Not only have they refused to provide any information to us, but they've refused to provide information to the state Board of Education, which specifically requested more information."

I “lived” in monkey country (rockville) for 30+ years before escaping to the real world (Free at last! Thank God, Free at last!). The area is the epicenter of LIB lunacy. There are several reason this place has becomne a pathetic LIB loserland: there is a high percentage of people there who “work” for the government at some level; there are many, many illegals and ferals inhabit much of the county. It is truly hopeless there. Escape while you still can. Only nuking them from orbit will change that pathetic place.

I think that superintendent is a leftist weasel.
However (donning my Devil’s Advocate outfit) he claims the school has received bomb threats etc. I have not seen proof that they would prosecute parents complaining about the school administration.
(Back to normal advocacy) On the other hand, I think the administration has no interest in even listening to the concern that the left (via the burocracy) is dumping immigrants on the community with no real sympathy toward those affected.

You have to understand, they didn’t want to offend the engineers, or any diversity candidates who bid on any of the work, by appearing to criticize. That would have been “privileged”, “-phobic” or “-ist” of some kind.

RE:”However (donning my Devil’s Advocate outfit) he claims the school has received bomb threats etc.”

That would be bad for sure.

With these type of allegations you never know who or what is behind them, until they are caught.

Those who want that Sanctuary state bill to pass would want ammunition like this to counter the rape scandal, and it is very convenient..

Obviously the superintendent's desire in making these announcements.

He could use a firing.

He should be impaled along with the rapists. Where’s Vlad Tepes when you need him?

If you’re going to bayonet people, a Mosin-Nagant would seem to be nearly the ideal choice of weapon.

The nearly two-foot long blade of the Model 1891 M-N rifle is a close followon to those of the Revolutionary War Brown Bess musket and the Springfield and Enfield rifles of the US Civil War. It was in no way advanced or modern, even for 1891.

But for poking right through a heavy padded wool overcoat, probably wet and covered with leather bandoleers and straps, snd skewering the contents therein, coming out the back, it does a pretty good job.

Just for fun, I welded the blade of a $10 M-N bayonet to the handle of a $10 Romanian AKM bayonet handle...and waited. One of the local cops knocking down free-refill McDonalds coffee was bragging on his taxpayer-provided $400 bulletproof vest, when I said my AK bayonet would punch holes right through it. We tossed it over a range target frame, and I went at it. Poked right through, front and back.

Last I heard, he was enjoying some light entertainment with his dinner. He even had a few steaks for his guests.

[Oops! That should have been *stakes*.]

I don’t understand why locals haven’t forced the school board members to clean out the staff. Have they no backbone?

I live in Ca so I’m well versed in Lib lunacy.

People from other parts of the US don’t understand how quicly mass immigration can change the politics of even a large State. Until it happens to them.

That school official in Maryland is a special kind of stupid and evil. He doesn’t care because it doesn’t affect him.

The longer it takes, the more the pressure will build. My hope is that the first priority will be to see to the safety of the kids and that the second will be to eliminating from public service those responsible. If the governor or locals can and will deal with it fine, and yeah, it'll take a little while for that ball to begin to roll.

And if they don't get it done, they need to go, too.

It opened in late 2015...about four years behind schedule. No one talks about the extra costs. If the defect hadn’t been discovered...would have been some catastrophic accident with a lot of folks dead or wounded.

If the collapse happened under republican President, the wall to wall mainstream media blame would have been "a lack of Infrastructure spending", similar to Bush and the I-35 Bridge that collapsed during repair of the bridge that was fatally underdesigned in 1961.

I hope the parents have him removed. No kid is safe at any of those schools with that kind of attitude and lack of concern for their students. Fire him!

He is a Republican governor in a Democrat State! The FIRST one in a bloody long time! Grow up!!! He is NOT ignoring the issue, not covering it up. You sound like a Democrat pissed that there is FINALLY a Republican governor in Maryland against all odds. He isn’t perfect, but he is a da——sight better than what preceeded him.

"The banality of evil... A PC-worshiping enabler of your daughter's rapists, if you're unfortunate enough to have her in MCPS."

I wonder if someone sent him a copy of Deliverance he would get the message.
