Trump Ultimatum: Vote on Health Care Friday or Obamacare Stays
NBC News ^ | Mar 23 2017 | Leigh Ann Caldwell

Office of Management and Budget director Mick Mulvaney made clear Thursday evening that President Donald Trump is done negotiating on the hotly-debated health care bill and wants a vote on Friday.

And, if the president doesn't get a vote to repeal and replace Obamacare, he will move on to other priorities, Mulvaney said according to a source in the room during the tense talks with GOP members.

The latest salvo comes after House Republican leaders abruptly postponed a planned vote on the GOP health care bill Thursday as they struggled to find sufficient support to pass it. GOP lawmakers had previously been told procedural votes on the bill will still be held tonight and that a full vote on the measure could take place Friday.

Wow, I’ve been out of the loop :-)

What socialist shoe did Ryan throw ... other than Obamacare Lite?

I am. His instincts told him to walk away. I’m happy.

But he said he could work with congress to get his agenda. That’s not what’s happening on this.

The problem is there’s a huge difference between two parties negotiating and something that affects the whole country.

OMG— do you think we should buy health insurance for people when they can go to the ER now!! You don’t think me paying for a parasites health insurance premium when that is not in the Constitution any more than buying the parasite a car or a vacation to Hawaii? Do you even understand communism? You probably went to public school ?

....”The problem is there’s a huge difference between two parties negotiating and something that affects the whole country.”.....

What ‘two parties’? If you mean Trump vs Congress well you have that right. ...and as we’ve seen over the past 8 yrs...do nothing congress IS the problem.

Rino-Care just needs to die!

The whole country should have thought about this when Obama and congress shoved it up our backside....the people wanted a hand out for nothing and the demorats wanted control of the healthcare revenue sources and they got it by lying to the people who foolishly, and again, believed them...nothing is ever for free....

"people in Congress breaking their promises to their constituents to repeal and replace Obamacare"

That's what Trump said. Let it sink in.

It wasn't the dhimmis that broke their promise, it's us.

ObamaCare stayed either way.

Sorry Mr. President, this isn’t what you promised, and we only promised to back you when you stuck with what you promised.

You promised repeal. You did not promise GOPeCare.

Ryan sucked you in on this one. We tried to warn you.

Repeal ObamaCare. Do it now.

He promised repeal and replace with essentially Obamacare on high octane. Go back and look at his campaign promises. Even in his address to Congress it was repeal and replace.

Yep, he’s a deal maker and was gonna work with congress. He hasnt got a single dem vote and likely won’t get enough republicans. Politics is tough business. Honestly, its more difficult than building hotels.

One thing I do like, and it’s that Trump demanded a vote now.

He didn’t wait for them to diddle around with it.

It almost looks like he wants to call the vote so it will fail.

Now I know he says otherwise, but forcing the vote tomorrow makes it seem like he’s not as adamant about this as one might think.

What has he got up his sleeve?

Is he setting it up so he can say he tried their way, but that’s not what people wanted?

I don’t really know. It doesn’t look that way now, but this guy seems to always have the ace up his sleeve.

All I wanted to know from you was if Ryan had added insult to his original injury by adding something to the bill.

But thanks anyway for the unintelligible rant.

Friendly advice, dear ... decaf is your friend.

JoesBucks, that is the verbiage he used, but he also described it and he didn’t describe it as this. He stated he would get the job done right away. He did not promise phases 1, 2, & 3.

He didn’t talk about billing people with higher rates if they didn’t grab a policy right away.

He didn’t talk about leaving the proliferation of Insurances companies across state lines until some later date, still unannounced.

So while I agree somewhat, I don’t agree that he promised this monstrosity.
