GOP House leaders delayed their planned vote Thursday on a long-promised bill to repeal and replace "Obamacare," in a stinging setback for House Speaker Paul Ryan and President Donald Trump in their first major legislative test.
The decision came after Trump, who ran as a master dealmaker, failed to reach agreement with a bloc of rebellious conservatives. Moderate-leaning Republican lawmakers were also bailing on the legislation, leaving it short of votes. [...]

I tried labeling it Rybamacare early on, but that didn’t catch on. Would’ve helped if I’d had a national TV show. :>)
I don’t know why Trump wants anything to do with this.
He’ll lose a whole lot of support if he pushes it to pass.
Amen, brother. Amen.
Exactly so.
The only reason they had today (Thursday) for the deadline was Ryan wanted it done on the 7th anniversary of ObamaCare passage, to the day.
Cute, Mr. Ryan, but my president wants a decent plan to sign and his promise kept.
ABC News = Mickey Mouse news
You can’t repeal Obamacare without 60 votes in the Senate
RE: It eliminates the Obamacare taxes, including the retro taxes from January of this year.
BS.
It moves the taxes from the IRS to collect to the insurance companies. The taxes are still there.
This is why the R's SHOULD be educating the country that the Fedgov was not empowered to legislate healthcare. That should be handled by the states. They should repeal it and replace it with nothing and send the people to their state legislatures.

BREAKING NEWS: After a marathon series of negotiations involving President Trump and his top aides Thursday, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) will call a vote on the proposal at Trumps behest, lawmakers said after a meeting on Thursday night. But lacking sufficient votes to pass it at this point, Republican leaders were still negotiating to see if they could convince enough conservatives to back the measure. Theyre going to bring it up, pass or fail, said Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho).

House leaders postponed a vote Thursday on their plan to overhaul the nations health-care system, casting doubt on whether President Trump and House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) can deliver on one of the GOPs central promises to the voters who placed Republicans in power.

Yeah, but Democrats call Moslems “our friends.” I’m looking at how ordinary people label it and so far it’s still Obamacare.
......” it was good the bill is delayed. And hopefully dies”.....
Just let Obamacare implode as it’s doing and then Obama and the Demorats can take the hit for it’s failure.
Trump should just go ahead with open borders to purchase Insurance...and let the chips fall where they may.
The ones who will be squawking will be those who want a free ride and unwilling to give up their flat screens and cell phones and other technology trinkets to purchase their own healthcare.
Yes, it’s still Obamacare.
I agree but the MSM will not cover it that way. The media will continue to keep the masses in the dark and only spread disinformation and practice censorship by omission.
Then we have to shoot them. ;)
Fiona, is that you?
You have mail.
That’s what the story is......Death Panels are part of Emanuel’s DNA....he says 75 is the age to die......
Just one more excuse!
Your explanation doesn’t match President Trump’s rhetoric and actions since the bill started being worked on, and certainly not his rhetoric from the campaign trail. He said it was the government’s job to “take care of everybody - get used to it, conservatives!” Trying to blame Ryan exclusively for something that has the President’s fingerprints all over it is not accurate. If anything it is President Trump that has been pulled to the right on this.

Where he stands on the issue is not a mystery - he’s been perfectly clear.
