TRUMP TOWER: SECRET SERVICE THEFT CAUGHT ON VIDEO Thief Knew What He Was After

The thief who swiped a Secret Service agent’s laptop targeted the agent in question and knew exactly what he was after ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Our sources say the thief -- whom they say is a man -- was caught on surveillance video pulling up to the agent's driveway in an Uber at around 3 AM Thursday. The video shows the man make a beeline for the agent's car, removing a backpack with the computer inside and then walking off. As we reported, the hard drive contained Trump Tower floor plans and evacuation protocols, but the agency insists there was no classified info inside.

The thief also made off with a passport and several Secret Service lapel pins. It's unclear what the thief was looking for if all the content was non-sensitive. We're told the video is grainy so it's hard to make out the thief's features, but it's definitely a lead.

If it was a “hand off” by the Secret Service, you’d think they would not be stupid enough to get caught in surveillance footage.

Think freelance handoff by an individual agent.

Privately owned security camera. I have them at various properties. They are easy to overlook.

1. I hope the agent is in big trouble -- waterboarding level trouble.

2. Give up on any thought that password security will protect the contents of the laptop. The "agent" will not get final payment unless the password is the same as the one already provided.

These laptops are given to agents with drives already encrypted. Unless the thief knew the passphrase, he wouldn’t be able to even boot up.

Jeeez. My crappy I-phone has a find my phone app in case someone steals it. You would think the SS would have something similar on their laptops. This ain’t good. Trump better hurry up and drain the swamp.

The Secret Service leave important stuff...in the car? When parked in a driveway?

And unlocked? Sounds more like a currier bag.

Inside job.
This “agent” need to be interrogated to the nth degree.
Nobody in that business leaves that stuff laying around in a car....nobody.
IF he doesn’t anti up the truth, he needs to be jailed until he does. Or at very least fired for the “incompetency”.

People here pointed out right away that a Bajaj was a motorcycle. Lots of differing info on this escapade.

Maybe the theft was intentional on both sides... This was not a random act by a street thief - and maybe it wasn’t a random mistake by a Secret Service person either.

Watching the House Intel Cmte Circus on TV - one gets the impression these folks can’t be trusted.

Sounds like the agent left it out on purpose.

If the perp took an Uber it certainly will be under a false identity. This story is probably bunk. SS lapel pins? I doubt it.

Without seeing the video I’ll bet the vehicle was left unlocked for easy access...

The question is was it a trap or is she a traitor.

The only way we will know is if she is fired.

One of the articles said it was a 2015 Bajaj, which is an Indian motorcycle. Another article said some kind of car, IIRC Chevy Malibu. Every article about this was all over the place.
