I understand the limitations of the political process in Washington, but Sen. Paul's point here is exactly why it never made any sense to pass the Ryan bill in Congress in the first place.
If Congress can't figure out how to pass an Obamacare repeal and/or replacement bill that actually saves people money, then they're wasting everybody's time.

And it clearly seems that Rand Paul doesn’t know what he is talking about.
The problem is demographics. There are just too many Baby Boomers entering their 70s who are going to be needing a disproportionate amount of health care due to their age. They all vote and they all want pre-existing conditions covered.
They should devise and pass a bill based on the campaign promises of Trump.
Repeal the entire law, then if necessary pass something else. Get the feds out of health care!
