But “Trump will fix all this on day one.”

Yeah, right.

Excuse me boss, but nobody can undo what the Congress has done, except future Congresses.

“Undoing” federal involvement....

And this could take a while....what a mess.

(IOW, it won’t go away all by itself)

Sure, they lose 10% per unit...

But they’ll make up for it with the increased volume.

Has anyone ever seen an bureaucrat or politician able to solve a billion simultaneous equations per second like a free market can? Until that happens, I’d prefer to let the free market solve allocation of resources questions.

We have more government than we can afford. Immigration, Obamacare, Global warming... are not designed to succeed but to destroy this nation and to loot the riches nation ever!

It can’t.

The cheapest solution, if done by the govt, was in the beginning of obamacare, where it was stated something like 30 million Americans were without health insurance. The cheap solution was to give each one a million dollar fund just to pay health related expenses. Do nothing else.

I wonder how many billions of dollars obamacare/trumpcare will total out to in the long run? This includes government costs, state costs, extra insurance premiums for people and medical costs that have gone up.

Betcha when it’s all done, that 30 million people coulda been given a billion dollars each and still save money.

Socialism does not work, never has, never will.

You can do it like Castro, by rationing health care and killing people.... and then keeping all the money and properties of the dead...

Abortion is the language.

It is well known that government oversight makes quality worse and costs higher. Red tape has never helped anything become cheaper. It is indeed a bold face lie that to put a doctor under the “ care” of a cop makes things worse.

Ryancare puts the cart before the horse because it chooses the Budget Reconciliation process, which cannot address the real problems with the ACA...and with Fed intrusion into personal health prior to the ACA going all the way back to WWII.

1. There is no rational reason health insurance was tied to employers.

2. There is no rational reason health insurance should be emphasized by the government over medical sharing plans and voluntary charity.

3. The word healthcare does not actually refer to health care. Taken literally, the word Healthcare means Lifestyle, diet, exercise, prayer/meditation and caring for your health. But government has made it to mean methods of paying for medical services when you don’t have health.

4. The ACA has turned highly educated medical providers into data entry clerks. They spend so much time on data entry, they have little time left to actually examine and talk with patients.

5. CMS rules and regulations of insurance companies, states that manage Medicaid and other programs, medical providers and medical consumers makes the entire process inefficient and counter-productive.

These and other problems too numerous to list cannot be solved by the Reconciliation process. Reconciliation handles taxes and spending...Budget. Absolutely no plan makes sense before addressing these other issues. Not the current ACA, not Ryancare, not anybody else’s tax and spending plan.

“How can MORE government involvement make overall health care costs go down?”

Exactly. It’s an oxymoron. The more that Fedzilla gets involved, the more it costs (unless you’re on the freebie list).

Government can pay to increase the supply of Doctors and develop more competition, or import more.

Government interference into health care did not start with Obamacare.

BEFORE Obamacare 50% of the $ spent on health care were paid for by governments (medicare including drugs, Medicaid, VA, ... Obamacare just made it worse.

How can MORE government involvement make overall health care costs go down?
= = =

Well, government will say:

“...and your health care costs will go down...”

What about that does no one understand??????

(I’m sorry folks, my seriousness quotient is totally shot, probably permanently.)

After typing that ‘smart remark’, I looked up ‘seriousness quotient’; well, there IS such a thing. Now I KNOW my SQ IS irretrievable.

I can understand the frustration of all this, but you have to look at this a different way, actually a couple of ways:

We voted for President Trump, we supported him, so how about quit guessing what he is doing, since we are not there in the meetings, and let him do his job...

We all know what kind of ‘snake oil’ RINO RYAN and the rest of the snakes are, so maybe JUST maybe President Trump wants to see what these ‘snakes’ are going to do, once it gets to his desk, he will take his team and dismantle it and make into the Health Care he has told us he would do...

WE are not there, WE don't know what is going on behind closed doors, all WE hear is what the media or other people say he says, granted, it seemed the other night he was for this, but was that really what he was saying???

Don't try to read between the lines...he hasn't done us wrong yet, and I really don't believe he will start now!!!

President Trump should eliminate any federal agency or department that doesn’t meet strict Constitutional requirements of either providing for the National Defense or facilitating commerce and free enterprise. Anything else is a pathway to socialism or worse and not a mandate of the federal government.

State governments, on the other hand are required to take on whatever actions their residents require not under the fed mandate. That is in the Constitution. The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. People should read it sometime. Our forefathers never intended the federal government to become the behemoth it has become and the main reason they wanted citizens to be well armed so as to prevent such a thing from happening.

Assume, one-seventh of a 14 trillion dollar economy is 2 trillion dollars. Assume 100 million families, means per family part is (2x10 to the 12th divided by 10 to the 8th) is 2x10 to the 4th, $20,000 per family. First you slash wages, doctors become Uber drivers, nurses are paid minimum wage where they can flip burgers for the same wage and not have to clean bedpans. All of this can be instigated by law, since, the unions crawled in bed with the Bolshies. Second, you lower the cost of hospitals, drugs and devices where nobody can make a minimum wage. Finally, you give everyone their own bottle of Aspirin, and, miraculously health care becomes $2 per person. Voila, government has lowered the cost of health care.
