It can’t.

The cheapest solution, if done by the govt, was in the beginning of obamacare, where it was stated something like 30 million Americans were without health insurance. The cheap solution was to give each one a million dollar fund just to pay health related expenses. Do nothing else.

I wonder how many billions of dollars obamacare/trumpcare will total out to in the long run? This includes government costs, state costs, extra insurance premiums for people and medical costs that have gone up.

Betcha when it’s all done, that 30 million people coulda been given a billion dollars each and still save money.

Socialism does not work, never has, never will.

I like the simplicity of your plan, but the math doesn’t work. 30 million people * $1 million fund = $30 TRILLION dollars.

Now granted that $1 million is over a lifetime and most wouldn’t spend that much. But then what do you do, if they exceed $1 million?

If you reinstated the old anti trust laws where providers couldn’t charge one person more than another for the same service, that would bring rates down.

Right now Hospitals charge 4 to 5 times what they actually get. 80% of the charge is written off do to contractual agreements with insurance companies.

That’s one of the reasons a fund wouldn’t work, is because it would get hit with 5x actual charges.
