So what happens when you paid for insurance and then down the line find out the insurance doesn’t cover a procedure that you need?... and in the meantime are treated as if you have no insurance?

what procedures don’t insurances cover? other than cosmetic ones, that is.

That is why you have to carefully read whatever insurance you pick. Most insurances cover emergency type of situations. They may not cover all ELECTIVE procedures.
