If there are enough Representative who demand a Speaker that will stand up *more* to Trump, then there will be a coup.
I can’t see that as opposing Trump would crush any RINOs re-election by depriving him of 15% or so of his support. Maybe even get him successfully primaried.
The few who plan on moving to K-street anyway would be less than even the number of the Libery Caucus.
No HFC member could win.
One of the other conservatives may be a long shot but none have ever been after the job and I have to assume they have good reasons. A conservative is not a good fit to lead this RINO-heavy caucus anyway.
Trump ran his campaign against the GOPe. He has no friends there, only those he can buy with our money.
Best Trump can get out of the House is for them to allow some more early input from the conservatives.
Ryan can do that as well, or better, as anyone else. If he does that on the tax bill he, we, and Trump will see good things.
That "Washington two-step" was designed that way by the framers...sorta.
They wanted a big flap on most issues so almost every bit of debate could be exhausted. But then they also assumed there would be reasonable minds and they didn't want the Senators elected at large, but appointed by the legislatures.
It all depends on who gets elected.
Just clear that first step then the Senate will fix it, then it will be fixed in conference, and the bill is ALWAYS made worse not better.
Maybe so, maybe not, but it will be amended, you can take that to the bank. The bill seldom escapes unscathed in its original form. In this case, a perfect bill (according to the HFC) would still have faced that fate, I don't see what difference it would have made.
Except now, we have no bill. (unless I'm wrong)
Of course the final action is the approval or rejection by the Prez.

Since the bill was pulled without a vote it can be resurrected and quickly brought back to the floor. Though I believe there is a time limit under reconciliation (probably the end of the year).

The mayor said that they couldn’t place these illegal immigrant adults, some with graying temples, in the 3rd grade class, though that’s where their skills were. I believe she said they placed them in grade 9. They used to be in night school, but someone (dems, no doubt) wanted the night school classes for them shut down so they had to integrate them. This is unbelievable. It would also explain why a 17 and 18 year old were in a grade 9 class in Maryland, able to rape a 14 year old.

We saw stories of this when this DACA started.
What kind of school administrator in their right mind would think this is acceptable and what kind of parent would allow this in their school?
