I never have understood that. When we escaped Mexifornia i wanted to get as far away from the border as possible. Why go from the first most invaded state to the second? So it’s probably not conservatives moving there. So sorry about that.
But I never understood people moving from the far north to Florida. From one extreme to the other.
I guess I just can’t figure out what people are thinking…

We escaped Mexifornia but I researched carefully and went to the most conservative area I could find that we could afford. That was near the mountains. And had good weather. And wasn’t ever likely to be invaded by liberals or illegals. Maybe our mindset was different then the people you’re talking about.
One thing I totally loved after living here was people unabashedly asked where did I go to church and how did I vote. When I answered correctly I got hugs ;)

Nevada is actually the second most ‘invaded’ state, although with 0bama’s import plan, no telling which NE states may be quickly catching up.
I think the NE folks move to FL for the weather....so they can stop shoveling snow!!
We were in NYC, recently, and I was amazed at the massive snow piles made (shoveling/plowing), from just a few inches of snow. The illegals were kept busy, shoveling snow, for a few days. Good thing the snow didn’t fall during the ‘day without an immigrant’ day.
What gets me, SC, is they move somewhere else and vote for the very same things that ruined the state they left.

Thanks for sharing - thought it was nice. Years ago in Denver, I had a girlfriend from Iran, but when asked, she always said she was Persian. She and her family had lived in the US for quite some time. IIRC her dad was some type of diplomat. They were of the Baha’i faith but the guy she married was Catholic, so they had 2 ceremonies.
You’re right it doesn’t make sense. They vote for high taxes that caused the high cost-of-living so should stay and pay them.
Yeah I know that’s why the snowbirds leave, but to go all the way to where it’s hot and humid I don’t understand. Stopping halfway where the weather isn’t so cold but not so hot either makes more sense to me.
I didn’t know Nevada was so invaded. I’ve only been there a few times and didn’t notice it. But I was in Vegas where nobody is from there. I’ll tourists. But I sure noticed it in Texas and California. And Arizona and New Mexico. As I was driving east back to the US – it was so delightful to stay in a hotel where sweet little white teenagers were cleaning the rooms and working in the fast food restaurants. Who says Americans won’t do jobs!

I’d also love to see a site that tracks all of the things Trump is doing/has done to drain the swamp/MAGA. There is SO much that needs promoting.
