Here's the story floating around NYC this morning ...

1. Preet Bharara used to work for Chuck Schumer, and Schumer recommended him to Obama for the U.S. Attorney's post in the Southern District of New York.

2. After Trump won the election, he decided to keep Bharara in that post to curry favor with Schumer, who was the incoming Senate minority leader for the Democrats.

3. After Schumer began working (publicly) to criticize and undermine Trump since the day Trump was inaugurated, Trump decided to take the olive branch he had extended to Schumer and set it on fire.

And so ... "Preet Bharara, you're fired!"

Was he also in charge of the Anthony Weiner investigation? Is that why it’s taking so long to prosecute him?

Your scenario....that Bharara was fired because Schumer didn't live up to his end of the bargain encapsulizes the cultural schism. Trump the businessman assumes that when people make a deal, they hold up their end. Schumer, the politician, does not expect to be held accountable for promises made.

Someone has pointed out on this thread that this is the guy who didn't bring any charges against the Clinton Foundation. He's made a lot of noises about investigations of dems, but no action.

Summary.....good riddance to Obama's drones!
