Good. Gut the government 25% this year, another 30% next year, and 10% every year thereafter.
1.8% cut is draconian? Only in Washington D.C.
All he has to do is get rid of all the federal employee unions. Also allow direct hiring of contractors and stop the third party non sense. That would solve 98% of the problems without the political fallout.
Historic maybe.
But not significantly effective until whole cabinet level departments start being axed.
Education, HUD, Labor, etc.
Libs and media are going to squawk either way, just get to it.
Sounds like a FedGov RIF is coming.
Go Trump!
Long past due...
Proposed budget. Let’s see what it looks like after the beltway GOP get done with it. If Ryancare is any indication President Trump won’t be “draining the swamp” much.
He should reduces it by at least 50% in the next two years. Federal employees should not be paid cushy salaries to do worthless jobs that hinder the freedom of American citizens. There certainly isn’t enough work to do if hundreds are plugged into porn sites during the work day. Cut the waste, Mr. President!
Go President Trump!
Best news ever.
I am a small business owner subjected to 8 years of misery under our most despotic and vindictive president ever. Now, under our new president we are experiencing our greatest month ever in only his second full month in office. Let the Fed workers experience what the rest of us did. Get a real job.
Feds should only be 5% GDP with state and local making up another 5%.
2016 spending over gdp in 2016 was 19%.
He is supposed to sign an executive order today to reorganize the executive department. This isn’t the first many presidents have signed similar orders but it’ll be interesting to see what this one is.
One of the reasons why I voted for him. Someone has to cut the fat
Oh, dear! What happened to our economy in the decade after the end of WW2? Could that happen to us again under President Trump?
Hoorah!!!
7 of the 10 wealthiest counties in the USA surround Washington DC.
It clear to me - for flyover America to prosper, Washington DC must suffer.
Sell DC to the highest bidder as a theme park, move the Capitol to Lebanon KS (70 miles north of I70) and build dormitories and employee housing. Congress critters can telecommute and debate/vote online.
Sessions would be limited to 90 days in the Spring and 90 days in the fall. Between times they can go back and spend time with their constituents.
It may be historic but it far less than is needed. How about 10%. Go for it Mr. President. Reduce or die.
...and the republicans will stumble all over themselves to keep Trump’s budget from becoming a reality, I’m certain of it.
