Gay and transgender U.S. military veterans will be allowed to participate in the city of Boston’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade next weekend, in a reversal made by organizers on Friday.
In 2015 and 2016, members of the gay veterans’ group OutVets were allowed to march in the Boston parade, one of the largest in the country, after some sponsors threatened to pull funding from the event and local politicians threatened to boycott it.
But despite OutVets’ recent participation, the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council, which organizes the parade, voted on Tuesday to exclude the group from this year’s parade on March 19, stating that a rainbow logo worn by members violates parade rules and that OutVets submitted a late application to participate in the parade. Following the decision, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh along with Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker and Sen. Edward Markey said they would not attend the parade.

The St. Patrick’s Day parades in Boston and NYC have essentially become “gay pride” parades.
I'm sure they already do, they just haven't come out yet.

The CATHOLIC CHURCH should nix the parades and focus on what the LORD did through ST. PATRICK.
As a ‘regular’ veteran, I would simply skip the parade. I wouldn’t call it giving in, but rather celebrating my Constitutional right to “freely disassociate”.
Face it. Homosexuals have a strong presence in the Catholic clergy, have been emboldened and will not be easy to remove. Yet ultimately whatever the short term cost, they must be removed and the clergy reformed. Better to cancel the entire parade, celebrate the feast day of a saint with a mass than make a public accommodation and celebration of decadence in a quasi Catholic event.

A couple of years ago I happened upon the Parade in NYC.Beautiful sunny day...the trees in central Park were starting to blossom...and warm for the time of year.Very impressive,in fact.But the next year it was announced that pervs would be allowed to march in the NYC Parade.And now they're also marching in Boston.
Hey,at least I got to see one in my life.There's no way that I'll attend one where amorality is prominently,and defiantly,on display.
