To stop the famines we have to stop the wars. You know 90% of all the aid will go to the strongest and most corrupt. I am a Christian and for my whole life I have seen aid cause more harm than help.

Why is Africa still starving after the years of my lifetime of help?

Because without virtue formation in children, there is no flourishing or freedom.

Only a virtuous people can form a free republic (Founders/Montesquieu /Smith/Locke) The most perfect, rational “virtue” system is only contained within the Christian worldview. It created the ethic system which created the Age of Reason and Modern Science and the US Constitution. Without the Christian worldview, there is only tribal, irrational, vile, ignorant “group-(non)-think” cultures. No agency, no free will and no individualism. Triibal cultures and islam embed irrationality and vile behaviors into children.

Think of what Virtue is—Justice being the Queen of Virtue. As such, a Justice system CAN only promote Virtue (never vice like sodomy and baby-killing or else it is unjust law and “null and void”.) The four Cardinal Virtues in the West are Wisdom, Perseverance, Courage and Justice. Cardinal means that if you have anyone of these four virtues missing, you are not virtuous. They ALL “hinge” on each other. Wisdom without courage is worthless. Courage without Wisdom can be evil and deadly.

Our culture (Hollywood, schools, MSM) are destroying virtue formation in children intentionally (lies/revisionism, perversion promotion). It is why our culture is going to be exactly like the 3rd World-—where all the children are traumatized, raped, abused, enslaved so that they will NEVER grow up to be virtuous (mature) -—slaves for their whole lifetime.

Vice creates slaves only. We cannot “save” anyone without changing their worldview-—to make them into true Christians so they can love everyone as themselves and flourish and be free from tyranny.

Unfortunately, recent history has shown that it takes white farmers to make Africa productive. Even when blacks steal land, equipment and everything else, they still can’t not make a go of it.

Giving food only has poor results.Local governments will take and exploit the food giving, or thieves will take over. Just look at Haiti. To eliminate poverty we need to pick out a stable country, one friendly to the us and institute a program such a The Heifer Project to teach and provide grub stakes. Make one country a success and others will want to follow. Just giving, giving, giving doesn’t solve anything. Teach, provide expertise and startup funds might have a chance.

You list colonialism as one of the problems. Isn't it the lack of colonialism? Under colonial governments, a western style of gov was imposed, and it functioned under the Europeans who set it up. People moved to cities, got involved in farming, many of these countries became pretty well off. Then they kicked out the colonial government and removed whites from leadership. So now they're falling apart. They're saddled with large populations that aren't capable of maintaining even the most basic human needs.

It's kinda' like a championship team that trades away all of it's best players and still expects to win.

“We pay farmers billions not to grow food.”

Government intervention in the food supply might well be considered a responsibility of the federal government, especially when viewed from a national security perspective.

However, this approach is stupid.

The government should never pay to reduce food production. Buying food and converting for long-term storage could be helpful for many reasons.

You must not be a Irish. You sound exactly like the British who through their inaction allowed over 1million people to die of starvation.

Actually I am Scot Irish and my ancestor left Ireland in the 1700s. I have Scot, Irish and a little viking DNA floating in me.

Your point is a non sequitur. With enough research you can find thousands of examples where atrocities were committed by one side or another but they have no baring on this discussion.

America is not at war with Africa, nor did America create the conditions. You would need to look to Europe and their role in colonies in Africa for that.

So how is it our problem?

Since WWI America has spent both gold and blood freeing people and defending them as well as rebuilding countries and providing markets for their goods. Where has it got us?

We are currently trillion of dollars in debt.

You want us to put our children further in debt for others, well I for one do not think it is our right to do so.

So get off you high horse and take your petty little emotional arguments to a liberal forum where you will get a participation ribbon caring.

No. This plan fails every time because it’s African men with guns who control everything. Unless you replace that power structure, your efforts are hopeless. Save our veterans and our US citizens instead. That’s what our rot ax money should be spent on. Africa will always be Africa and frankly, my give a damn is busted.

Yes! Sick and tired of someone saying Christian duty or Jesus this when they want to take my paycheck. Screw em! Be generous with your own money. You aren’t getting into heaven forcing people to fund your special causes

Nope. You spend all your time and money helping them out first. Show us how it’s done. Otherwise keep your hypocritical concerns out of my paycheck.

I don’t give a damn about Africa. Its in constant crisis.

Spare me the tough guy act so that you can demonstrate your conservative bona fides.

I am not a liberal in any sense of the word. I do however, think that the great nations of the world have a responsibility to prevent mass starvation.

And it isn’t only my Irish heritage that makes me particularly appreciative of that duty. And it wasn’t the Protestant Scots-Irish who suffered the brunt of the Potato Famine.

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Matthew 25:37-40

Where in the Bible does it say to keep doing stupid things when the results are continuous failure? Where does it say we ignore our own veterans and country men, increase our debt to further mess up another country and culture? Cause that’s what you’re really asking US to do.

The answer is we don’t.

#2 see above.

Then are you spending all your free time and your own damn money on the problem? Otherwise, according to your pathetic logic it’s on you.

Be a hypocrite.

Nauseating virtue-signaling masking a heart of tyranny.

If you’re not a liberal, you’re something worse. Were I you I’d own the liberal label and cut losses.

I also have down the part where when someone says “the nation should...” that they intend to involuntarily conscript their countrymen into some feel-good scheme destined to be both hideously expensive and a colossal failure in practice.
