Thursday on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin gave the rundown on the press conference of Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc. (F, 51%), in which Ryan tried to give the hard sell to Americans on the Republican American Health Care Act "reform" plan.
Levin called Ryans proposal repeal in name only." Or, if you will, RINOcare, because the GOP plan keeps the core of Obamacare in place.
Levin had a number of questions for the speaker, questions that so far remain unanswered.
Now, heres my question Mr. Ryan, Levin said. How much will the average Americans deduction go up, or down?
Further, Levin asked, how much will the federal government be spending on subsidies for certain individuals? Will individuals be able to see the doctors they want? The specialists they need? Will individuals be able to go to the hospital of their choice? Will they be able to get the medicines they need to get?
At the end of the day, the problem with RINOcare, Levin explained, is it embraces the Lefts assumption that government involvement is needed to make health insurance affordable. It embraces progressivism; it embraces centralization.
Republicans have blown it, Levin said. "There is something horribly immoral about RINOcare."
I’m with you!
No, far from an idiot. He has an abrasive personality.
“...unify ...”
Clearly not a word those third parties understand... unfortunately.
I don;’t think this monstrosity has the votes to pass the Senate.
How is that? An endorsement from a major conservative talk host somehow lost votes for Trump?
And, again, I find the antipathy and rage toward ANY criticism of Trump deeply, extremely troubling and disheartening. It borders on religious fanaticism — “Thou shalt not speak ill of Dear Leader Trump. Period.” Criticizing for the bad, praising for the good — what an outrageous idea.
Frankly, just because I agree that Levin asked some good questions does not mean I am supporting him...
I understand, and that’s fine with me.
But I will not stand by while people say good things about levine here. He’s a skunk of the highest order, and anything he says has to be seen through the lens that he’s a never Trump, and his goal is STILL to damage the President.
That said, I have a long memory and won’t forget Levin’s attitude. However, I rather view this as something similar to WWII where US worked with the Russians to defeat Hitler...We need to work with whoever is supporting Trump at any given time to defeat the elitist/globalist radical progressives. Levin has been very effective in slicing through Ryan’s bullsh*t regarding Rynocare.
I pray President Trump does not fall for Ryan’s progressive trap.
If you think you're going to reinvent, ignore and or somehow erase Levin's comments from the past, you're mistaken. The days of going along to get along are over. Same with Beck, Levin and Limbaugh in my opinion. They had their chance and they blew it good. Like Hugh Blewitt too!
We're surrounded by traitors and posers and others who care only about their ratings and longevity. There is no need to recycle them.
I saw a post from Jim Thompson, saying “repeal, don’t replace”.
Since he operates this website, I won’t comment. Don’t agree, but won’t comment.
Sorry but you’re only seeing half of the posts on this subject. His right to say that, but there are a lot of people like me, who are just sitting down and not saying what we think, as a result.
Great website Jim.
But you have quashed debate, on a very important issue.
Just my opinion.
No the total #NeverTrump tirade he was on for months before his foxhole conversion. You are not that dense.
I’m not sure how I quashed debate but I simply supply my opinion as well. I welcome debate because only through debate can you sometimes get to the kernel of the truth and as a result spread it. That’s why this website is so vitally important.
