Thomas Massie does not mince words. For more than six years, Republicans have promised to repeal Obamacare and after reviewing the long-awaited replacement package for a few hours, the Kentucky libertarian wasn't impressed. Massie thinks "it's a stinking pile of garbage."

I almost get a sense that Trump is now functioning like the referee in a contest between two teams -- the House and Senate -- to see who can come up with a better piece of legislation.
The elites still believe that the Swamp is in charge of writing big legislation, instead of the people.
I would like a Republican to explain to me exactly how this will lower costs. For any people buying health care, that is.
UNLESS THE COST SIDE IS ADDRESSED THIS IS EVEN WORSE GARBAGE THAN OBAMACARE.
Republicans, still in the pockets of the medical-industrial complex. Very nice.
Ping
We elect record numbers of GOP reps, and we have to look to the DEMS to help us prevent this train wreck. Unbelievable.
It doesn’t even matter if Ryan can ram a bill like this through the House. Rand Paul will never let it see the light of day in the Senate.
How can this comment be construed as encouraging vigorous debate?
“I feel sure that my friend @RandPaul will come along with the new and great health care program because he knows Obamacare is a disaster!”
That sounds more like shutting down debate by pressuring Paul to support RINOcare.
Not Referee but patient and wise Grandfather.
Here’s a guy that’s lived and breathed with the biggest men in NYC for 50 years. Netanyahu is a 35yr family friend.
A better way to view his handling of this is to grow the actual players in Congress, like a Grandfather might do with his youths, to slap them back to business after they come home drunk at 4am after un-reined in wilding.
Notice how patient and congratulatory he is of those who are actually working to fix things. The brats get slapped down, but not permanently shunned, just corrected, and guided, as parents do. The productive ones get lavish support and praise.
He’s really just managing human nature to The People’s benefit. The DC punks will, over time, respond to the postive discipline. The evil ones will be dispatched.
How is it that the Dems could completely repeal and replace 60+ years of health-care policy in one fell swoop, and yet we need three separate phases to repeal and replace just SIX years of ObamaCare?
Hate to say it, but they are way better at this stuff than we are apparently.
Okay Massie where is your plan? Always a complainer and never a leader.
DJT actually said today that this was a negotiation. There’s threads on it.
There is a HUGE outcry from Trump base, I don’t think Trump WILL IGNORE this!!! He is meeting with freedom Caucus tomorrow afternoon, we will see Trump is not one to ignore the people who voted for him!!! If you REALLY WANT to see him listen to the freedom Caucus EVERYONE needs to tweet him, Facebook him, and send a message in the White House website to HIM!!! THEN do the same to BANNON and Kellyann!!! I have done this if we flood him with the message he WILL LISTEN!!!
No, girl, leave his executive peeps out of this. This is legislative, do not expect him to man-handle this like zero did.
Contact your reps and Senators.
Yes, that is just what it is.
Did we expect any better?
“There is a HUGE outcry from Trump base,..”
Ya.
Take a look at Breitbart. Everything there is slamming this RINOcare proposal. It surprised me.
I’m extremely disappointed, but not the least bit surprised. Politicians are asses.
The Dems had super-majorities in both the House and Senate.
The present makeup of the Senate doesn’t even guarantee a simple majority because of the contrary nature of many of the Republicans.
Big difference.
Point taken. Yet, I cannot help thinking that Harry Reid would find a way....
I don’t think we can trust what the Paul Ryan crowd is cooking up to ‘replace Obamacare’.
