Alec Baldwin's days of impersonating Trump are numbered.
While President Donald Trump may have four more years in office, Baldwin does not plan on keeping up his impression for much longer.
"His policies aside, which you can hate, I thought he would have just relaxed," Baldwin told Extra's Mario Lopez. "The maliciousness of this White House has people worried, which is why I'm not going to do it much longer, the impersonation, I don't know how much more people can take it."

He gets paid union scale to do that show, meaning he gets paid less than the unknowns in the cast.

In contrast, Dana Carvey did an excellent GHWB impression back in the 1980s. It was never mean-spirited or nasty but didn't pull any punches either. I thought it was very well done. It was good comedy that still stands up well today.
Done properly, SNL could be pulling huge ratings with Donald Trump in office. Let's face it, I'm a huge supporter of Trump but he provides an incredible treasure trove of comedic material for a talented actor who is able to pull it off. Opportunity squandered by SNL to bring some bright new star along. Instead they took the ugly route with an ugly and hateful human being.

Nah none of their audience would know who this President Ford was during the first season. That is ancient history and we know most yutes have no idea about anything that happened before they were born.
He’s not a fraidy cat their rating are in the TOILET!!! Plain and simple people have turned him off !!! WE ARE WINNING!!! WE are tuning them OUT and it is making a YUGE difference, although the LSM shows the huge crowds protesting WE are protesting silently and WE ARE WINNING!!!!

I haven’t watched SNL since he started doing this, after having watched about 80% of the episodes since the show debuted in the 1970s.
