What I am wondering is IF we can buy insurance across state lines is every insurance company going to have to police every applicant to find out if they have been insured or not insured?

My guess is it would work the same way auto insurance works. You'd have to submit the info to the out of state insurance.

No wait, the insurance companies would just make one phone call to IRS.
