Trump Set the Trap and the Rats (and RINOs) Walked In
Self | 3/4/2017 | LS

Posted on 03/04/2017 7:00:02 AM PST by LS

Over the past week the hysteria on the right and among some weak-kneed Trumpers has been over the top. Even Rush Limbaugh began to wiggle uncomfortably, fearing Trump did know what he was up against, and hadn't moved fast enough to deal with the "silent coup" against him.

Jeff Sessions' recusal supposedly showed that Trump, like all the rest of the Republicans, didn't know how to play hardball.

Ooops.

I can always tell when something big is about to happen at Team Trump when my contact messages aren't returned. And I'm always pleasantly surprised that Team Trump is one to a dozen steps ahead of anything I'm thinking.

Case in point: yesterday I drafted a memo urging Trump to go on offense against the Democrats, specifically the Congressional rats. And as usual, I'm thinking of building a bowling alley while Trump is envisioning a gleaming skyscraper.

Today Trump's offensive began. But only after cleverly baiting the hook, luring the enemy Cannae-style into an envelope from which there is no escape.

He didn't fight back against the guys in the ring. He went after their manager, their coach, and their funder-in-chief. Trump went after the head of the snake.

By Tweeting that Trump Tower and his personal residence were bugged---and apparently the evidence of such a wiretap approval exists---Trump again shows why he plays 3D chess and his enemies are playing Parcheesi. The Bible says it this way: "They will come at you one way and go away fleeing seven."

Other than the fact that this is OBAMA he is going after, the juciest part is that Sessions did NOT recuse himself from a wiretap investigation of Obama. Get it?

Trump just leapfrogged the whole Russia thing with an "It ends today." Now Team Trump has leverage to force a full and total standdown of all opposition to Trump inside Congress, all end to the disruptions, and meek and timid confirmation of all appointees. Or Zero goes to jail. That simple.

Many here will want blood. But I'm reminded of Sam Houston after he defeated Santa Anna at San Jacinto. Instead of hanging the dictator, he merely took all of the American Southwest. Santa Anna was out soon anyway, but we still have Phoenix, Denver, and (unfortunately) California. It will be a negotiation from strength, and the Dems will have no choice but to comply. They won't completely give up---there will be surreptitious acts with enough deniability---but this was a perfectly baited hook that all of Trump's enemies just walked into.

The Russia thing may have been the phony baloney pretext to wiretap Trump.

It may have already been said but . . . YUP!!!

Either the US is a nation in which the rule of law prevails, or not. If not, nothing is of any value.

To be honest, I wish the American people really did have such fury in them. I doubt it, though, because we have become a very soft and deeply divided people.

Keep in mind that at the time of the Boston Tea Party it was only 30% of Americans who were true patriots AGAINST the Brits.

That's all it took at that time to turn the tables forever.

Trump will get his agenda implemented, THEN go for the throats.

Does Giuliani not specialize in security? I’ll bet he’s been busy overseeing this whole thing!

You are correct that there are some here who are worrywarts, I can be a worrywart myself, however, there are others who are called ‘concern trolls’ and those are the ones I was meaning.

You can recognize them by their refusal to move from their ‘concern’ even tho people who are knowledgeable point out why they are ‘concerned’ over nothing or that they could look at the problem in a very different light. There are posters here who are in the pay of opposing forces and others who just like to cause problems. If you pay attention to their names and what they post, you get an idea of who they are.

I’ve been here for several years and seen them come and go, some get banished and then come back with new names, others just show up and post for a while and then go away.

There seems to have been an uptick in such postings since early November. Wonder why?

I think it’s worth stating. This Russia thing was just a fake pretext to spy on the Trump campaign. The Russia stuff is fake. Made up. I’m curious why something this big is mentioned in just a tweet. I would think a news conference would be done, but maybe that will come along. Naturally, the democrats and the media lap dogs will circle the wagons and try to discredit Trump, and anything he says is a lie. You have to go for the jugular with these people. They will never stop.

Well, I learned to trust you on election night, so I am happy to do so again! Thank you for your input - it’s worth gold.

The Left has fallen for every Brier Patch rope-a-dope he’s set for them so far, the real comms probably happen in an underwater wireless room at MAL.

They ARE a special kind of stupid, aren't they? I think the self-absorption blinds them to a large extent, which is just fine with me. .... Underwater. I love it. lol.

What on earth makes you think that the majority of Americans trust the MSM?

Last polling numbers I saw were 31% trusts the media, and another poll put trust in Trump about 56% compared to the MSM in mid/low 30s%.

Well, let me say I know something of Trump’s temperament. He doesn’t look backwards, i.e., punishing people. To him, victory is punishment enough.

If Trump's administration does not go after criminals in high places, it means we do not have Rule of Law in our country. It has nothing to do with personal vendettas, and everything to do with Rule of Law, and not Rule of Man, where big important or wealthy people do not have to face justice because of their positions.

"I believe that would now explain all the wardrum beating on Russia - they had to know that Trump was gonna find out about the spying, so they've predictably been trying to throw up a smokescreen to pin some kind of stink on him instead and away from them. Also probably explains why they've gone after Sessions the way they have, trying to discredit him. It makes sense now."

And I want to know if all you mentioned is related to the Comey meeting with the Senate Select Intel Committee as they came out of the room ashen, and then disappeared going out exits that no one saw where they went and the meeting was Classified. Tell me how these two events are not connected....

My only concern is that it is so easily used to shut down the opposition. I guess we can play that game too.

It probably means all those Senators had sub-taps and were listening in on Trump from the get-go. Not a lot turns those rats ‘ashen’.

There was definitely some miscommunication on the team. Just hours before Sessions recused himself, Trump said he didn’t need to recuse himself. Doesn’t make sense does it? And let’s not kid ourselves...Team Trump has taken some pretty good hits..Flynn, Sessions, nominees backing off, etc.

Something bothered me about Session’s news conference..he didn’t look very sure of himself...I expected him to come out with some authority, but he really seemed on the defensive.

Another thing...I’d know that Team Trump turned the issue around on Obama by overriding his EO to slide Eric Holder’s buddy into the slot...but why didn’t Sessions just wait for his deputy AG to be confirmed, then recuse himself. Or for that matter, just announce you recusing yourself when the Deputy AG is confirmed. I don’t see anything wrong or illegal in that. Who cares if the Dems and Rino’s scream bloody murder...with everything else being thrown at them ...who cares???

I believe it’s true that Trump flipped out over this ... after all he just said Sessions shouldn’t recuse himself and gets off the plane to hear just the opposite...what does that show about communication in the WH....I’d be mad as hell!!!

Everything can’t be explained away by saying it’s 3 dimensional chess...this was a mistake and a bad one regardless if they trust the acting Deputy.

First, he asked to ‘look’ at a wide range of things & got denied.

Once they tap they get everything, what is seen cannot be unseen. They may not be able to use what they saw but it will lead them to some other source they can use.

The second request was narrow and granted. No evidence was found, yet the wiretaps continued. This may be the legal jeopardy, that the wiretaps went beyond the narrow boundaries. JMHO.

The mistake was Sessions jumping the gun before talking to Trump.

Then they’ll just say ‘oh, I guess we forgot to turn off the spigot in the aftermath of the election, we were busy securing a peaceful transition of power.’
