“If you have an Aldi near you....check it out.”
I started shopping at Aldi’s recently and so far so good. I was pleased with the ribs and ground sirloin I got there, and have been wondering about the the quality of their chicken. Most cheaper supermarket chicken has a funky taste, and I’m skeptical Aldi’s is much better.
Not of fan of Aldi’s (Clancy) salty snacks.
What were they thinking?
I am not going back even if they start giving their merchandise away
They cannot fix what they mindlessly broke. They are, unfortunately not alone in their completely irrational positions which should never be expressed by a corporate entity.
“I am surprised like everyone else,” Deutsche Bank analyst Paul Trussell told TheStreet via email.”
Then you are alone in being surprised. Target stepped in a *hit puddle and got splashed. That happens when people of normal gender go neutral on you.
Hmmm, might letting perverts in the women’s restroom affect sales to mostly “WOMEN”?
That’s evidently a pretty complex dynamic for the board at Target to figure out.
Why not just let all men in there? Why be sexist?
Equal rights for all genders NOW! LOL
Aldi’s ultimate goal is all organic food. That’s going to take time. It doesn’t matter what the boxes look like. If you read the ingredients, that’s the only way to tell if you want to buy something. Ingredients, not the manufacturer. Lots of GMOs are still out there unless that’s what you prefer.
The reportage on the Target situation is virtually identical to that of the NFL this past season. By all means ignore the 800 pound Gorilla in the room and convince yourselves the problem IS what it ISN’T.
Target Bathroom stupidity policy = NFL Colon Krappernick stupidity policy.
Aldi’s near me is across the street from Target. :-)
Exactly.
There is nothing wrong with Target as a retail establishment. The stores around here are clean, well laid-out, products are good and well priced, and customer service is just fine. BUT I, among many many others, won’t go there because of their bathroom policy and their endless efforts to be on the front end of whatever is politically correct from day to day.
Blows my mind. Target can nail down the beginning of their demise to the bathroom fiasco yet will never admit it. Guess board members aren’t all that concerned about why they’re losing their a$$.
Wow....you guys are on the ball with shopping:) I just purchased their chicken breast for $1.49 per pound. It’s very good. As for the Clancy chips & stuff, yup, it’s very salty. Their 12 grain bread is the best & I usually get it for $1.69.
Target CEO: We Can't Ask People to Shop the Way Their Parents Did
Yeah, your parents wouldn't stand for a guy walking into the same bathroom as their daughter.
Struggling Target Still Plans to Invade Cities With Small Stores
I don't think families in those small cities would stand for a guy walking into the same bathroom as their daughter.
They blame everything except “we offended half the customer base with virtue signalling, then doubled-down when the boycott started”.
One just opened in my neighborhood. Prices are great, but selection is oh so small...
Yup....they usually have only one or two brands, but most of it is quality stuff. Only place I can find 40oz peanut butter of good quality for $2.79.
"She leads Targets enterprise-wide approach to actively engage and deepen relationships with external stakeholders to drive positive business and community impact."
Gawd! Who brutalizes the language like this! They deserve to go broke just for doing violence to the English language
She definitely had a lot of "community impact". Nothing like institutionalizing stupidity.

She also sits on the for-profit board of directors for Dennys Corporation. Ms. Ward received her bachelors degree in journalism from Indiana University and a masters degree in social services administration with an emphasis in management and public policy from the University of Chicago."
If they go all online like Amazon their bathroom problem will go away but will that be too late?
‘Feel good story’...
I live midway between TWO Target stores that I used to patronize regularly. I haven’t been back to either since they started the bathroom b.s.
Ditto in spades! Not only do they have good values at low prices..., they pay their employees well. My Grandaughter is making about $85K/year (plus benefits) at age 23 (no college). Basically, their employees handle ALL functions in the stores and hustle all the time. If you are a hard worker, you will advance rapidly!
