Former President George W. Bush said Monday we all need answers on the extent of contact between President Donald Trumps team and the Russian government, and didnt rule out the idea that a special prosecutor could be necessary to lead an investigation.
The Republican also defended the medias role in keeping world leaders in check, noting that power can be addictive, and warned against immigration policies that could alienate Muslims.
I am for an immigration policy thats welcoming and upholds the law, Bush told NBCs Today show.
Bushs comments came after a prominent Republican in Congress, Rep. Darrell Issa of California, called for a special prosecutor to investigate whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election and was in touch with Trumps top advisers during the campaign.

I need an answer on why I ever voted for this guy. I honestly think we’d all be better off if John Kerry won in 2004.
I'll give you two, Gore and Kerry.
Maybe they should investigate the Bush-Russia-Putin soul connection?
Bush seemed to be so open to globalism that he would have put Putin at the head.
Is he a communist?
After Kerry’s track record as Secretary of State? He would have declared the Monroe Doctrine “over” in 2005 if he ever were POTUS.
IMO the Republicn Party is in worse shape.
So if Hitlery won the election I’m sure GW would be all concerned about the Russians and “need answers”.
I think we’ll see the two-party system go bye bye, there are too many incompatible factions within the two parties.
Yep
The Establishment out to secure their “legacies” with the msm.
Tell me about it. 8 years of blatant hardcore treason and he said absolute squat.
.
Okay, where are the Awan brothers and the spouse?
Who killed Seth Rich?
Where is Eric Braverman?
How did John Ashe lose his grip on the barbells?
Small correction.
Well, if the answer is that Democrats made the whole thing up, well, sure.
Somehow I doubt it.
Amazing how he had nothing to say for the eight years of Obamagate.
The globalists and Libertarians are too cowardly to actually form their own party, or in the case of the latter support the Libertarian Party proper, so the have demonically possessed the Republican Party instead.
A great many Americans had German holdings in the ‘20s and ‘30s. Bush was just one of very many.
Even Coca-Cola and Random House publishing ‘supported’ German Nazis in addition to the obvious bankers, as well as manufacturers like Ford, Kodak and IBM.
The Bush Family:
Clueless to what is really going on.
Inability to recognize the enemy.
Spend more time attacking the Base than the RATS.
I watched the new PBS show on Ruby Ridge.
Reminded me of how Bush 41 attacked the Base even then by defending ATF.
Since Ike the GOP went globalist and never looked back.
For George W. Bush, it's probably personal. Notice he had nothing to say about commie Barack for eight long years, but now suddenly he's compelled to leave the Bushbunker and run to the media cameras? Aside from looking extremely choreographed, it makes Bush seem to still be sore by how badly Jeb Bush lost.
