Liberal professor says Trumps victory was an act of terrorism.
Conservative student records professor's rant.
Conservative student gets suspended.
Conservative student pushes back, college backs down.
Winning.

Fire the professor. I had a sociology teacher who did practically nothing but call conservatives racist. Spreading hate is clearly a liberal value, but how does this benefit the students?
To: Leaning Right
So, taking this to the professor's logical liberal conclusion, conservatives failing to vote for Hillary is not only hate but terrorism as well.
Where do these people come from?

Push liberals down into the hole they came out of.
Then throw in dry ice to suffocate them.

The big problem after this is the student lost all his tuition and book money, a semester lost in getting his degree (which could be a year if the class is required and only offered once a year), bad mark on his record, and is probably blacklisted among the faculty at the college. I would hope there is a MULTI-MILLION dollar settlement after the law suit against the school, professor, faculty, Kalifornia dept. of education, etc., etc., etc.
Go Trump

60+ years of cultural marxism, anti-tradition, anti-authority, and leftists self-proclaimed calls to “resist,” “protest,” and “question....”
...and one of the few times when their own actions blows back against the liberal orthodoxy in force everywhere in government and academia - and the Left whines like little b**ches
Truly ironic.

The thing about this story that jumps out at me the most is that any college would have a policy against recording classroom lectures. The whole purpose of classes is for the students to attend and learn and retain the supposed knowledge imparted by the lecturer.
Students relied on note taking for generations, but now most every student has a handy, miniature recording device. Why wouldn’t every student want at least an audio recording to fill in parts of a lecture where their notes might be inadequate? And why would any school object that their students have even better means to learn from lectures?
The only answer I can think of is that the lecturers, and school administrations, do not want recorded, indisputable evidence of what the lecturers said in class.
Maybe the schools should have a policy, not to prohibit recording lectures, but to require lecturers to stick to their course subject and keep personal political opinions out of their lectures.

Attended evening classes at Orange Coast College a number of years ago. At the time I lived in nearby Santa Ana. Orange County had a reputation for being the most conservative county in the greater LA basin area ... which at the time didn't mean that much to me ... I only became politicized when Clinton came along in the early 1990’s. My point ... I'm not surprised that a student attending OCC would record a professor's liberal rant ... good to know there's an element of conservatism still around in that part of the world.

I feel like Ive been attacked by a mob of people all across the country, she said in December.
Think about how your students must feel everyday listening to your stupid political rants instead of educating them. Students should demand their money back and find a better school. No one should have to put up with this crap.

The college backing down is not enough. Now they need to punish the professor. And the jerks who supported the suspension to begin with need to at least make a formal, and very public, apology. Otherwise, I'd continue with the lawsuit.
Stealing your property and then giving it back isn't enough. The thieves have to be punished to deter them and other thieves from doing it again.

After weeks of threatening emails and voice mails about the video calling her a Marxist, nut case and vile leftist filth she became frightened herself. So classic: a deft switch of victimhood and the fascist resumes her moral high ground. Not even a nice try.
Recording lectures has become a commonplace, not for political reasons but for study reasons. Not all college codes of conduct have moved with the times, nor have all professors. I have a very good friend, now retired, a Classics professor, who was recorded asking, "Why are you all pointing your cell phones at me?" There was...giggling...
