I kept waking up last night and then couldn’t go back to sleep so decided the heck with it and just got up and got the coffee brewing, then on to Diet Coke ;-) - was at Slaveway (as you call it) and they had the 12 packs - buy 2, get 2 free. I usually only have 1 per day, so now I’m stocked up for a while! May take a nap later.
Wonder if Sean will be doing a presser today - if so, I bet it might be a doozy. He should refer any questions about Sessions to the DOJ. I seem to remember reading that the President was going to FL for a fund raiser (IIRC Gov Scott and another Pubbie was going to be there, too).
I think the new EO’s on immigration will come today.

I do, too - I think the Prez was waiting for the Secretaries so they could make recommendations for their staff, with the President’s OK (that’s how it’s normally done in business world, so I figured he’d be following that, though he may have some initial preferences that he gave them).
There are so many positions left to be filled that need Senate confirmation, it’s a bit scary.
I found the below, which includes the following:

It was originally tentatively scheduled for today, but I heard Wed that they may wait until Monday b/c the Prez was getting good marks on his speech Tues. Given the kerfluffle and the Dims having their hair on fire about Sessions, perhaps they will do it today to get Sessions and Russia off the main page.
That’s what I recall hearing - IIRC it was a Pubbie fundraiser. Jared and someone else was supposed to go, too - which is good as they can speak w/o being bugged. Maybe they need to have all their planning and confidential meetings in the Situation Room at the WH. He should have USSS do a total bug sweep of the residence, oval, meeting rooms, and offices in the East and West wings - he probably already has done that, but a 2nd time wouldn’t hurt.

I hope when the President announces the new immigration EO that he says he will not abide any judicial review of it, nor allow any Federal resources expended to block it.
The judiciary can never be allowed to overstep like they did with his January order.

Did catch Sen. John Cornyn R-Texas on TV lately talking in circles when asked why the Senate was taking soooo long to confirm Trumps cabinet.

At the beginning of the week he had already met with over sixty members of the senate He was right on target for his hearing in two weeks. My understanding is he must be confirmed by April 1 to be able to help make decisions in this term. The Justice committee and McTurtle think they have it all in controll Pray that it be so
We can only hope this is a distraction to the WhiteRats while they are busy writing “important” laws ;-)
