Hannity always destroyed the guy, but he seemed nice for a clueless lib.
Prayers for his family.
Indeed. Best wishes and prayers for his family.
RIP

RIP”
My thoughts exactly
A very respectable and likeable guy. I enjoyed Hannity and Colmes. RIP.
My sympathies to the family. Alan Colmes seemed a truly exceptional person, a liberal in the traditional sense.
Wow. That’s 2 this week from Fox.
He was one of the few liberals that would actually debate conservatives instead of just screaming racist and plugging his ears.
Why type of illness did he have?
When you’re the fall guy, that’s your job. The shout shows are a little too much like professional wrestling for my taste.
THat’s a good point. Colmes actually debated the issues. He never resorted to silly name calling or emotionalism.
I NEVER agreed with him. Ever. But I did respect the guy.
I’m truly sad to hear about this. Alan Colmes was one of the few liberals in media you could actually respect for his sincerity and good humor, if nothing else.
Hannity was on the phone with Fox News a few minutes ago and he was pretty emotional. He said they never let their differing political views interfere with their friendship.
Colmes was a lib but not hateful like most are.
Amen,
anyone know what the “short illness” was?
Being a conservative, this will sound very odd.
I produced and sang all of the song parodies that Alan used on his shows for several years. From “The Clintstones”, “Haiti is a Trap”, “Jeff Dahmer’s Lunch”, and all of the ones I produced, he was a lot of fun to work with and always very bright. He was a broadcaster first and a liberal second.
Even though I disagreed with 80% of what he said, his shows were always entertaining. I will miss sharing our shared love of political humor and song parodies. So many wondered how I could do those songs from a dyed in the wool liberal, and how a liberal could play something done by a rock-ribbed conservative. But it worked.
Alan was the last voice to be heard on 66 WNBC in New York on the day of “The Big Switcheroo” when half a dozen stations were sold and the entire market snapshot changed.
Rest well, Alan. The great beyond is a bit funnier today.
RIP Alan Colmes. He was a very classy man and a good friend of Sean Hannity. He was a liberal that you could respect.
May God grant him eternal peace.
He always seemed a gentleman to me.
