So called Freepers who have nothing better to do with thier lives than spew hate towards the dead really sicken me. Sad. As for Alan colmes, much like Paul Wellstone the guy was a true believer. He was not fake. He also was not a hater. Disagreed with him politically. Respected him as a person. With the Lord. God bless him.
Lymphoma, not sure what type of lymphoma tho.
Kind of the way I always saw him, when I used to watch the news...
Thanks for the input and personal anecdote...
Thank you for your kind thoughts and sharing that about your Father. I am glad he was able to get his absentee ballot in.
Dad and I were pretty close all ours lives and looked at most issues about the same. We did indeed have a ball those 18 months. My Father was a self taught Architect, Engineer, designer and builder. He took to Trump because in his words, they spoke the same language and both were builders.
One thing that I knew about was that there was a woman that he had thought very highly of that he knew from High School.
For different reasons they never were able to be together. Late in life after my Mother had died and then at 91 when he got a permanent separation from the 2nd wife they reconnected to a degree.
After he passed away and at the urging of my brother and sister, I wrote her to send her DVD copies of the Tribute and Funeral Service, I told her how important she had been in his life and that he had never forgotten her. She is herself 91 and alone, we all felt she should know and I am glad I could do that one last thing for him.
God Bless you and remember the good times you had with your Father. I know I will with mine.
He took on a different persona on his radio show and could get quite nasty at times, but hey, he was likeable enough to make this old conservative give him a listen.
Very sorry to read this. Prayers for all who loved him and most particularly his family. Colmes was a good man, even if you didn’t agree with him.
AIDS?
RIP Colmes.
May you find that heaven is Republican.
He enjoyed Hannity and Coles and he was one of the few Libs I could actually listen to; I respected him. RIP
