Ben Shapiro: When the Enemy of Your Enemy Is Your Enemy
___________________________________
Bingo. How many times has the US - for example - propped up an enemy - like Saddam, or Arafat, or any number of arab regimes like the Muzzie Brothers - only because their enemies were worse than they are?
Stalin and Russia were our allies in WWII. They were the enemy of our enemy (Nazi Germany). Did that make them our friends, then?
Shapiro is right. The enemy of our enemy is still our enemy.
Shapiro is basically stating that Trump is the enemy. You agree with that?
A statement which logically is nonsense.
The "friend" status of our enemies' enemies is indeterminate.
Example, for those who can't follow abstractions:
Britain: enemy of our enemy Nazi Germany. Status: friend.
Soviet Union: enemy of our enemy Nazi Germany. Status: enemy.
China: enemy of our enemy Imperial Japan. Status: some parts enemies. Some parts friends.
A lot of people at the time thought they were.
This article has nothing to do with foreign policy. It’s simply one more NeverTrump essay.
