Someone can be past the physical stage of boyhood and still be a child in every other way. That would be true of a 9 or 10 year old.

Yes, they do.
It's a relatively new Christian phenomenon called "Churchianity."
One element that the "Churchians" use is to use the Bible as a weapon at ANY disagreement, no matter how mild and reasonable. They also use Christianity to completely buy into every premise of the Left.
Another is to destroy anybody the Left targets for destruction to "virtue-signal" your moral righteousness.
The "Conservative" "Churchians" are not an ally to the Right or to Western Civilization.
Many of them are right here at Free Republic.

I've witnessed the most intolerable moral and intellectual depravities come from "Christians" who think they're sanctity is intact because they "ain't lying, cheating', and stealing'!"
I agree with your position entirely, having worked in the arts for 40 years. I know several individuals who managed to put their gay life behind them, with effort, find heterosexual partners and stay heterosexually married. One I still know of is now a grandparent. If “Christians” insist on equating all gays and ex-gays with pedophiles and are too good to believe that their God is the Name Above All Names, including homosexuality, what hope is there for any sinner?
You sound like a common scold gossiping at a church supper: uncharitable and faithless — IMHO.
Bet you are really glad you wrote that and got to verbalize your hate and frustration. You might even sleep a bit better tonight. But when you wake up tomorrow the age old facts regarding homosexuals will remain unchanged and you will still have to cope somehow with the realities of your life. Just the same ,sleep well.
