Egypt's Antiquities Ministry announced this morning that a team of underwater archaeologists had discovered that remains of a large Egyptian army from the 14th century BC, at the bottom of the Gulf of Suez, 1.5 kilometers offshore from the modern city of Ras Gharib. The team was searching for the remains of ancient ships and artifacts related to Stone Age and Bronze Age trade in the Red Sea area, when they stumbled upon a gigantic mass of human bones darkened by age.
The scientists lead by Professor Abdel Muhammad Gader and associated with Cairo University's Faculty of Archaeology, have already recovered a total of more than 400 different skeletons, as well as hundreds of weapons and pieces of armor, also the remains of two war chariots, scattered over an area of approximately 200 square meters. They estimate that more than 5000 other bodies could be dispersed over a wider area, suggesting that an army of large size who have perished on the site.

The red sea bed at the crossing point is not sandy, but the chariot wheels are very barnacle encrusted.
.
I’ve seen scholars debate the meaning of the terms in Exodus from ‘wall’ to ‘span’.
Clearly, there was water on both sides horizontally. Whether there was a vertical dimension or not I will defer to those that study the etymology of the HebreTo me it matters not.
What matters is a rare event at the precise time that Israel was put between two fatal options, that they chose to follow against their own frightened instinct and impulse, in favor of faith in God, whereas doubtless there were those screaming to return to Egypt, to beg the Egyptian Army not to kill them.
Yep.
Time being a derivative function of state-change that progresses relative to E within the inertial frame(s) in which it is observed.
Whose inertial frame did a day transpire in during creation?
Its all relative.
Furthermore - the Big Bang doesn't contradict scripture. In the begining there was nothing, and then, a moment later - all the energy in the universe existed. BOOM!
.
Note that the same place where Israel walked across swallowed the entire Egyptian Army, and Pharoah himself.
The linked video in post 55 shows the wheels and axles clearly.
You have to scroll down to enter the code to watch.

Yes, the “big bang” nonsense contradicts everything observable.
It was no bang, it was a controlled expansion.
As I stated above- corals remain uncovered - artifacts also remain uncovered or very slightly covered even after 1000’s of years
To suggest that everything must be buried in order to be ancient simply defies the facts- Archeologists have found stone structures they felt were man made on the sea floor 1000’s of years old- not buried or slightly buried- showed video of them descending on the site for the first time- stones were clearly visible and not covered up-
You will note how soft the sea bed is around the artifacts in the video above- clearly water saturated soft- easily dug through and dispersed with just the wave of a hand- I have seen many such videos showign similar-
Noone is trying to magnify the miracle- The miracle speaks for itself-
It’s excellent. I’d recommend ALL watch it.
the video i posted showing what is supposed to be the area of the crossing, and possible wheels and possible man made stuff shows a sandy sea floor
It went from E=0@T=0 to E=[All energy in the Universe]@T=[A fraction of a second later]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang
Since then it’s been expanding as per the observable, controlled, laws of physics.
If the seabed is not sandy, then the artifacts would have remained on the surface, just as they have.
[[You’re being obtuse. ]]
Showing video evidence that contradicts your claims is ‘being obtuse’?
[[If the seabed is not sandy, then the artifacts would have remained on the surface, just as they have.]]
And I say even if a sea bed is sandy artifacts can and do remain on the surface as plenty of video evidence proves- There’s nothing obtuse about that- it’s a documented fact-
the video i posted from youtube shows them too without havign to enter code- I assume they are the same structures as in your link? No?
>>It was no bang
Neither is the detonation of a nuclear device if the resolution of T is dilated in the context of an inertial frame where E is relatively large.
[[I never disputed their age,]]
Never said you did- I am saying that you are insisting on insinuating that ancient artifacts would be buried if they are on a sandy sea bottom- As shown, this isn’t true in many cases- ancient artifacts can and do remain on top or near the top even in very loose sandy sea floors-
Then the waters returned and covered all the chariots and charioteers—the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived.
Exodus 14:28
Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD: “I will sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously; He has hurled both horse and rider into the sea...Pharaoh’s chariots and army he has hurled into the sea. The finest of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in the Red Sea.
Exodus 15:1, 4b
"Shallow" could mean anything, since we don't know how deep the Balla Lakes were (they're long gone), but I would think anything more than 6-10 feet would suffice... Also consider the water pulled back in a wall might double in depth.
"Then locusts came from the smoke and descended on the earth, and they were given power to sting like scorpions."
The video you posted shows rocky gravel at the shore and underwater surrounding and beneath many of these artifacts and shallow silt in others, describing the seabed as a ridge that is smooth. That is not a description of a sandbar. There is a river delta shown in the Google Earth view of the geography but that is not the area in question.
That said, this argument is pretty much inane, as we do not disagree upon anything other than whether or not the bottom was sandy. Therefore, I’m going to stop here. Continue on if you like, but I’m done.
Another assertion made by biblical naysayers is that the Red Sea escape did not happen where the Bible said it did but rather at a place where there were strong tide currents at certain parts of the day in coastal areas of shallow depth.
The naysayer (and it was printed by a WSJ reporter years back) narrative has the Israelites passing in a coastal area in low tide, and the Egyptians entering the same area when the tide currents returned forcefully causing them to drown.
That narrative asserts that the Egyptian Army did not know about the returning tides and so were surprised.
That narrative tries to invent a reason for the occurrence that ‘debunks’ the miracle claim, instead claiming it was a natural occurrence that the Egyptians were unaware of.
But saying the Egyptians were unaware is where their narrative fails.
Egyptians had occupied the Sinai for thousands of years, had completely surveyed every hill, mountain, desert, oasis, and sea including the Gulf of Aqaba. They knew precisely where their borders were. And they could signal back and forth over hundreds of miles to Pharoah in minutes using mirrors from elevated points. Their lookouts and signalers no doubt guided the Army and led them to where the Israelis were.
If there were known tides, the strength and timing of such tides would have been well-known by the Egyptians.
So if they were overcome by a surprise tide, it could only have been an extremely rare event that caused it.
It is a fact that the sands on the floor of the Gulf of Aqaba shift around changing the depth of the sea substantially. That much has been observed. But it has never been observed that such sand drifts have broached the surface.
Take the assertions and known facts that Egyptians knew very well their borders, lands, and seas, coupled with the fact that they knew the variable depth of the Gulf of Aqaba with strong, known currents, and it is impossible for anyone to dismiss the biblical account.
The biblical account could happen, did happen, and the fact that it has apparently happened only once in recorded history as described, at a time of great peril, to the people that God chose, is a miracle. There is no other explanation. The individual events can all happen and possibly with little more surprise than an earthquake happening. But take all the events happening AT THE SAME TIME and it becomes improbable unless there was a divine force.
