The children whose parents didn’t want them skating at the rink should have been required to attend school while the others went on the field trip.
They could sit in study hall or they could watch some of those horrendous film strips with cassette players that we had to endure when I went to school.
Isn’t there another rink they can book down in Harlem?
Maybe invite the public school kids as their guests
Elite liberal nastiness.
Someone pro Trump who is rich, or Trump himself, ought to fund an outing at the rink for one of the PS elementary schools in the city with a large enrollment of disadvantaged students. They could go skate for free during the time slot formerly reserved for the liberal snobs.
What a story.
City government tries to do something, fails (predictably).
Along comes Mr. Trump (at the time), takes over, finishes the job and restores an entertainment venue to the community.
Mr. Trump becomes President Trump and the ingrates come out of the woodwork.
Screw'em!
“Annual skating party” implies that there was concern ^last year^ over Trump Management as DJT continued to campaign.
“...with cassette players that we had to endure when I went to school.”
You had sound? All we had were film strips with subtitles. I feel deprived. :^)
"We pulled up in front of the school to pick him up one day. I looked around at the other parents and decided right there that I didn't have anything in common with all those @ssholes."
LMAO.
Heck, we had to set a kid on the floor in front of the projector to say BEEP every couple minutes.
I’m enjoying their meltdowns.
Great story. Peer pressure regarding comparisons of each others children is especially competitive in Manhattan and it takes true guts not to conform. I give Imus lots of credit for opting out completely.
He may have lived in a penthouse on Central Park West, but Imus is a cowboy at heart and was never one to conform to any standards. I understand his kid is now attending Rice University and is a top competitive calf-roped, too.
Will they ban card games like bridge and pinochle because of trump cards?
Fine - I tell you what - we’re gonna name every business after Trump. Every park, every street corner, even change the names of the days to Trump 1 thru Trump 7.
Then the snowflakes will retreat and withdraw into tiny balls trying desperately not to “get any on them”.
Morons.
Dalton tuition is $40 K a year. That must create a lot of diversity.
The herd mentality in this country is scary.
Frankly, the only controversy attached to the ice rink, is what these idiots are attaching to it. It's a building. Has ice in it. You can skate on it. What's the big deal?
Rich White Liberals. Rich Black Liberals. Rich Gay Liberals. Rich Asian Liberals. Rich.....
You get the point.
Apparently I’m very naive as I fail to see what Trump is doing to cause such angst against him. The parents, obviously suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, are denying their children an opportunity for enjoyment and teaching them to be sore losers. They are the victims of their parental rants and the parents, not children, need to grow up and learn how to face reality.
