Fake news. Hospitals are some of the biggest opponents of obamacare. Doctors hate it. And patients are going bankrupt trying to pay for it.
That is terrifying, and would bankrupt most people. Nancy Pelosi said ObamaCare would free people from being tied to their employers for health insurance, and the exact opposite happened; if one loses his/her job, even if they have accumulated some savings, they must get a job as quickly as possible (no matter how crappy) just for protection from ObamaCare requirements. Without it, that accumulated savings would quickly be consumed.
Our elites have enslaved us further with this new tax.
The disparity between the standard of living in academia and us little people couldn’t be more glaring; here in NJ they are our new upper middle class (since many decent jobs left) - supported on the backs of private-sector workers.
I dropped my ObozoCare for this year.
Over the last two years, I have paid nearly $30,000 in premiums, plus what the government subsidy give them.
They do not pay for regular doctor’s office visits, or medication. I have to pay for that myself.
They do not pay for ER visits until I accrue $7000 deductible.
So the ‘insurance’ in basically worthless.
I save the money that I would pay in premiums and use that to pay for my dr’s visits and meds, plus the ‘fine/tax’ at the end of the year.
Screw them.
Patients who arent on the medicaid free ride arent coming back because the deductibles are killing them.
...
I’ve read the financials of the hospitals around me and bad debt is way up because the O-Care patients can’t pay their deductibles.
“Theyre just not coming back, she said.”
Of course not. They’re dead.

The entire hospital industrial complex, both wings of it (for profit & “non-profit”) have become just like the education industrial complex, as ever-more addicted to government dictated and directed financial opium that put all the THEIR increased costs on government & private insured customers (and students & taxpayers for the schools) and never questioned the original sources of the cost increases themselves - doctors, hospitals, health care providers & in the case of schools, “educators”.
All the “help” from government has merely been to keep paying the cost increases of the health care industrial complex and the education industrial complex, with greater levels of revenue and subsidies from (a) taxpayers and (b) mandates on insurance policies.
Anything in the article about the hospitals and medical facilities that have been forced to shut their doors because of Obamacare, in some cases the only area community medical center?
That’s why Obamacare banned the construction of any new physician-owned hospitals to compete with that setup.
It’s so infuriating - all I really need is a catastrophic plan, but those went away, at least for my age, when Obamacare came along. Now I essentially get ONLY catastrophic care, for $10K premiums a year.
And I have to admit, it’s possible the replacement will be even pricier by some guesses I’ve seen.
Great line.
Thanks. And with great lines come great responsibility...or something like that...
:)
I am in exactly the same situation. I would rather not pay that $20-30K in premiums and deductibles, and negotiate prices directly with my doctor or hospital.
ANY new legislation must legitimize and promote this practice. Its the only way prices will drop and consumers will get control of their own health again.
Before ObozoCare, I had excellent health insurance, provided by my employer, at NO COST to me. Low deductible, low co-pays, medications low cost. But when Obozocare went into effect, they could no longer afford to provide health insurance for their employees.
Now it’ has been a disaster for me and my family.............

Easy solution. Those wanting free healthcare either need to make it known you are a refugee—and demand it.
Or commit a crime of sufficient nature to get yourself jailed. What is the problem?
Great list. I suspect it is much more truth than conjecture or humor.
