The Senate Intelligence Committee has sent formal requests to more than a dozen organizations, agencies and individuals, asking them to preserve all materials related to the committee's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and related issues, according to a congressional aide.

I know from insiders in the state government here in CA, which has the same record retention requirement, that once a stage of a project is completed, the word goes out to delete/discard "noncritical and duplicate records and notes". The rationale is that this simplifies document production under a possible discovery order, but there is a lot of wink-wink going on and a lot of non-duplicate material gets shredded. For stuff that is really controversial, they avoid electronic communications since electronic archives and backups are harder to get rid of than paper.
I would be shocked, shocked if the Federal government didn't do the same thing, with the wink-winking getting pretty frantic when something improper or potentially illegal is involved and a prosecutor or Congressional committee might soon be looking into the situation. Shredders undergo a lot of wear and tear ahead of a preservation order.
Could they be the real WikiLeaks leakers?
THE FBI MUST DEMAND THIS INFO FROM THE DNC:
<><> Did the DNC have a backup plan if the House Permanent Intelligence Committee plan intel equipment failed or was found to have been compromised?
<><> Does the DNC list other foreign nationals (from countries President Obama identified as terrorist countries) employed on Capitol Hill?
<><> The DNC should list foreign nationals by name and country who currently have access to US intel and are using govt computers.

Trust me it doesn’t work like this folks.
Oh lets see.....protect your stuff so nothing is compromised.
They know every keystroke you perform.
Yes, especially considering that Clinton nuked all of her emails..
Throw in Hillary’s emails, and Weiners laptop, just for shites and giggles
This is a rabbit hole...
Comey s\b going after the Awan family and the RATS who hired them.
He is no longer with us because he got on the bad side of Hillary. He was not the first to do so, nor will be the last[though I wish he was]. My wet dream would be to see Hillary under the cross bar of a telegraph pole with about a six foot rope between her neck and the crossbar. He is only a ling list of those between the first and last.
They very well could be - they had access, they all lived together, and already there is evidence of financial criminality
As long as Schumer has the FBI looking in the wrong direction the DemoRAT mantra about "Russian Influence" in three seperate investigations
it is a waste of time and delays a fruitful FBI investigation
and allows the false mantra to exist for another four years.
Since the results of the election won't be changed by the results of any investigation, the electioneering continues with the false mantra.
I don't expect the DemoRATS to accept the fact that they contributed to their own election demise through inadequate electronic defenses:
they are all still in a state of denial, and having one heck of a "pity-party" !
Even Podesta fell for a phishing scam and voluntarily gave up his password, and never admitted his guilt; do you expect anything less from the Democratic Party, DNC, or Wasserman ?
To the best of my knowledge: The FBI has never had access to the clandestine Clinton bathroom computer;
information about intrusion came from a third party source, and NOT FROM THE FBI !
This is how it works. Pretend the documents and information is sitting in a cabinet.
Of course you are correct. Everything is sitting in the NSA cloud. UTAH.
