It was a great moment, to be sure. As we were watching, I said to the husband, “That was amazingly brave of Trump, as he really could not know for sure what that man would say.”
But I can see why you might be wary. Who knows what the Left will plan with some sort of plant?

I agree. I'm glad it worked out well, but it could have turned out very differently. We know that people have been paid to infiltrate Trump rallies and provoke violence. Also, the left has their minions so worked up since the election, any number of them would love to get that close to Trump and cause him harm, not unlike those who are willing to martyr themselves in the name of Islam.
I really believe you have a good man there as your commander in chief.

I agree - Trump does need to be careful and keep some distance (enough for the SS to cut-in, if necessary). The next time it could easily be a PLANT...the media will interview a leftist claiming to be Trump supporter, Trump will see it, and believe it, and Trump will pull the guy on stage...and bad things will happen.
He needs to thank his lucky stars for this one, and learn from it.

I was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia when Nixon and AF1 Landed. I was stuck in traffic waiting for his motorcade to pass. He passed a group of RVN Pilot trainees (walking back to barracks from classes) and stopped his motorcade, got out and talked to them. That was interesting to watch from about 30 feet away.
