Students at the University of California, San Diego are protesting an upcoming speech by the Dalai Lama on the grounds that he is an oppressive figure threatening to divide a unified China. According to a report from Quartz Magazine, an offshoot of The Atlantic, students at the University of California, San Diego are concerned about an upcoming visit from the Dalai Lama, who they consider to be a threat to the Communist Party of the Peoples Republic of China.

I may not care about the Dalai Lama, but this is getting really dangerous. This means Communist China has been covertly funding, planting their operatives, and organizing their comrades in the US through schools and Universities (Their standard MO), and probably DNC. Soon they will have Hollywood to work as their propaganda arm, and like China before, slowly turn US under the control of Communists. Follow the money and the activists, I won’t be surprised China’s fingerprints all over their work. Also find who are helping financed Obama’s Library.
Bizarre. This guy use to be a celebrity and feted wherever he went. The Chicoms are really getting influential obviously.
Kind of sad really. An opportunity to meditate on
compassion and they are filled with rage and hate.
I am more concerned about the threat from China than I am about Russia.
That ChiComs are so afraid of a bald-headed monk walking around in a silk robe shows how brittle the ChiCom government is.
Sounds like UCSD has been thoroughly infiltrated by chicom agents.
There can be no doubt that this particular charade was orchestrated in Beijing.
There will be no total consciousness on their deathbed for these protestors.
Ya, these people who lecture us about how love trumps hate, are displaying hatred at every turn. They don’t just disagree with people, they hate their opposition. They don’t just disagree, they want to destroy the lives of their opposition.
And yet they tell us how love trumps hate. The irony is astounding. Though I know that irony is lost on the liberals and their syncophants in the media who report on their protests.
Seems like we are ignoring regulations on barring communist from immigrating here.
Maybe Trump will start enforcing that.
You know times are hard for the fascist lefties when they have their low intellect snowflakes going after the Dalai Lama. Winning.
WTF is it with the UC system?
Have they gone full tilt communist?
Does anyone attending the UC college system realize that their degrees are worthless outside of california?
A degree from a UC college will immediately be disregarded in a job interview in the other 49 states. To all of you snowflakes out there, that means any mention of a UC degree gets your resume sent to the vertical file (ie: shitcanned).
About 8 years ago I spent a week with the Dalai Lama learning his religion and philosophies. The large crowd of anti Dalai Lama protesters were there screaming and chanting with their protest signs then as well.
China has been doing this ever since the Dalai Lama came to the USA. It’s nothing new.
Clearly by the traditional definition of a University (free speech, free discussions, freedom to discuss) UCSD (and most of the rest of US Universities) is no longer a university—just daycare for older children.
What is amazing is that there are Free Tibet bumper stickers all over Boulder, Colorado and the Univ. of Co. Boulder is staunchly communist. I guess the CU people are too far away from California to be hating the Dalai Lama. I guess it will only be a matter of time before the Boulderites turn against Free Tibet. Cancer spreads.
That’s not good when you don’t have that going for you...
Our people are bought and sold.
Without morality, there is no liberty. Case study, this.
I smell Bill Ayers.
