Not bizarre at all.
China is behind globalist initiatives allied with the commie Dems and rinos establishment types of the Left. China stands to benefit from Calexit. China is working to destabilize the US. The are buying up Hollywood as a means of propagandizing the morons that go to the movies.
Don’t put it past them to sabatoge that dam and put the state into chaos.
Oh Lordy the delusion runs deep
Where does the Dalai Lama stand on the Palestinian question?
/ S/2 (half sarcastic, half serious)
UCSD is almost majority asian. 46% of the undergraduate class is asian, many being chinese, and many of those are international students. Add in the far left and those who will protest just to be cool, and it’s not surprising there are plenty to protest even the Dali Lama.
You should be!!!!
And you should be more concerned about the threat from islam than that from Russia, too!!!!
All our leading universities admit more students from China than from any other foreign country—and from most of our own States, too!!!!
I think that a big issue in that is money. Harvard, for example, admits needy but qualified US students tuition-free, or at least for greatly reduced tuition. Chinese students, however, pay full tuition—in reality, the Chinese government does.
Then there is the bogus, and very destructive issue of “diversity”.
So our great universities are infiltrated with all sorts of commies—Chinese commies and our native-born leftists, among others!! Sad!
Sometime around 1979-1980, I went to see a speech by the Dalai Lama at the University of Washington. It was disrupted by a group of leftists who are now probably in positions of leadership in the Democratic Party and/or the media and/or academia.
UCSD students have become pawns of the Communist Party of China.
Appalling to say the least.
They are the Neo Red Guards seeking a Cultural Revolution here. Equal to the Chinese, our crop displays the same self-righteousness and rage. Khmer Rouge without the weaoons...yet.
A little bit of history for those to young to remember.
“Red Guards were a fanatic student mass paramilitary social movement mobilized by Mao Zedong in 1966 and 1967, during the Cultural Revolution.”
For a decade, starting in 1966, they raged through out the country persecuting all not in full accord with Mao Tse Tung. Millions were tortured and killed without an accurate body count.
I’ve seen these people before....÷
So much for the ‘fall of Communism’. These folks would protest George Washington, Mother Teresa, and Jesus Christ. Oh, wait...............
That the students of UC San Diego who are protesting the Dali Lama, shows how brittle their brains are.
#ButthurtChiComs
Only commies could employ such logic.
The same profs oppose colonialism and conquest of native people everywhere in the world...unless it is China doing the colonizing.
The Chicoms attacked and conquered Tibet, which is NOT China, in 1949 IIRC. Since then they have tried to destroy the native population and religion.
The Chicoms want to do the same to a number of neighboring countries. I was shocked recently when I spoke to a Vietnamese immigrant college professor. She said she expected that Viet Nam would end up as a province of China. She said they were just too big and powerful to defeat.
IMHO, the best tactic to use against China is to start sending Green Berets to Monterey to learn the languages of minority groups under Chicom domination, e.g., Tibetan. That is a bigger threat than our Navy!
