More than 100,000 Palestinians have sent US President Donald Trump letters, imploring him not to withhold US support from the idea of founding a Palestinian state. Arab media website Al-Monitor reported that the wide scale campaign was organized by Youth Center for Development and Innovation Arab in the West Bank city of Nablus, and that the center had gathered the letters for 11 days, starting on January 20the day of Trumps inauguration.
The initiative had collected the letters of young Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as from Syrian refugees and Lebanese nationals. All of the letters focused on the Palestinians right to freedom and self-determination, putting an end to the occupation as well as implementing the international law resolutions and international conventions and treaties related to the Palestinian cause, said the centers director, Mohammed Abu Ras.
The letters call on Trump to stand by the principles of democracy and human rights, all the while committing to and defending international legitimacy by finding a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian cause, added Abu Ras.

Tell me again why none of the Arab states want them?
Ummmm, dear So called palestinians. I am almost 50. In my entire lifetime, your actions have made it absolutely and unmistakenly clear that you have zero point zero point zero interest in a palestian state. You have made it abundantly clear that your solitary goal is to kill all jews, and you do not give the slightest f$&@&) what happens after that. Jordan would probably absorb all that land afterwards, and you would care less. I have no obligation much less desire to support you much less fund you, so you can FOAD with the full knowledge that I consider your people to not only be the scum of the earth, but also sub human and your constant statements of jews to be the progeny of monkeys, dogs, and pigs, to be the worlds oldest and most extreme example of projection ever recorded in history. /rant off
Meanwhile they are shouting “death to the Jews”.
The final decision to establish a “two state solution” lies with the Israelis. Essentially they will have to cede land and political power to the Palestinian Authority. Despite American and Western European pressure what rational leader in Israel would agree to a militarized, independent, essentially hostile Palestinian state adjacent to them? The Israelis learned their lesson when after receiving grave reassurances of peace , they agreed to an independent Palestinian state in Gaza. They had to fight a costly war to protect themselves. The Israelis know that they get to lose just one war and then there will be no further discussions, issues or negotiations.
Let me drop a little experience-based “truth” here...
I traveled to Jordan and Israel back in November (was a medical mission trip). Our ministry time in Israel was largely in mostly “Palestinian” areas, both fully- Palestinian Authority controlled/ruled, and areas still primarily under Israeli rule. Here are some observations after having personal visit time with quite a few “Palestinians” (that ranged from the majority who were Muslim, to the minority who were professed Christianity):
1. MANY Palestinian “Muslims” are as marginal in their faith as those “Christians” we in the ministry refer to as “Creasters” - those that come to church on Easter and Christmas... In other words - nominal in their faith (primarily as a cultural expectation).
2. The VAST majority of both Christian and “Muslim” Palestinians are NOT wrapped up in this “struggle for an independent state”. They just want to be left alone to run their business, raise their charlene, and take care of their families.
3. The greatest number of those who lean more “radical” - as in, who are clamoring for an “independent state” - and who are more likely to spew hatred at Israel are those living in the areas that are 100% now under the rule of the Palestinian Authority. Of particular interest about those areas (which include East Jerusalem) -the economy is absolutely in the toilet - yet they have pretty much ZERO tax rate - sales or income. The Palestinian Authority has yet to impose any sort of tax at all (because they know there will be pretty much no compliance) - they rely 100% on foreign aid to keep their government processes, police, etc. working (read that primarily U.S. aid).
In Bethlehem, a city in an earlier stage of the hand-over (Palestinian Authority is mostly responsible for police and the more basic parts of civil government - but they are not fully self-governing (and there are more Christians there). The Palestinians on the streets were really not too fond of the whole Palestinian Authority situation - and students at Bethlehem University (a secular University, though 90%+ Muslim) didn’t care at all about the situation. It was rather eye-opening.
In Nazareth, where we stayed several days - the city is actually pretty prosperous with some high-end housing and hotels being built. This area is barely touched at all by the Palestinian Authority, and folks there seemed quite eager for it to STAY that way!
The reality that I have gained out of both my trip and with research beyond what the mainstream media and the “powers that be” in the world who profit from eternal war and who hate Israel - is that the whole Palestinian State thing isn’t really OF the Palestinians as a whole - it is a relatively small handful of rabble-rousers/malcontents who are directly supported by Iran.
Another interesting side-note we learned from some folks we got to spend time with in Jordan - a bit of an answer as to why no other Islamic nation in the area allows Palestinians in in any significant numbers, and why they don’t WANT them - The Palestinians have a long history of moving in large numbers, then trying to take over (militarily) - they have done this over the last 100-150 years to literally EVERY neighboring nation.
Take this for what its worth -
Well, Arabic writing is 100 percent cursive; there is no block letter form of that alphabet that I’ve seen.
OK, recognize Israel first.
There are already 22 Arab states. The world does not need a 23rd...especially by slicing up the world’s ONLY Jewish state.
Very interesting firsthand account.
Cleared up a lot of questions.
Roll ‘em up for kindling in the WH fireplace.
Thank you very much for your observations.
islam can go to hell after 9/11
ALL OF IT!!!!!!
100,000 Arabs.
There is no such thing as a “Palestinian”
Well of course there is, but it includes Israelis, Syrians, Jordanians and Lesbians.
They already have one: Jordan is Arab Palestine, carved out of the original land lost by the Ottoman Empire and established by the League of Nations as the Jewish National Homeland.
The 1922 borders, after Jewish land was exchanged to ensure peace with the Arabs:
That is all very eyeopening. Did you ever reveal you were Christian, and if so how did the avg Palestinian react?
Trump is uniquely qualified to call upon the Jordanians and other regional Arab nations to absorb their own refugees, just as Israel has absorbed its own refugees since before 1948.
