Yes, but we also don’t put kids in prison for the sins of the parents. These kids may be here illegally, but they did not break the law. I see why some consider these children a “hybrid”.
Children of criminals do not get to benefit from the crimes of the parents. Bank robbers kids don’t get to keep the money.
Send them home with their parents.

And no one is sending them to prison now. Worst case for 99.99% of them they get a lifestyle stepdown.
Think of a middle class family whose dad gets busted for a white collar crime. Chances are they have to move to the other side of the tracks, mom has to go to work and doesn’t have time for the kids. Hamburger helper and Mac & Cheese replace sirloin and arugula. etc. etc. etc.
In this case, the kid goes back to start again. He/she can say “thanks mom and/or dad.”
