Thursday following President Donald Trump’s press conference to announce his pick for Labor Secretary, Alexander Acosta, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh applauded Trump’s performance on his nationally syndicated radio show.
Limbaugh while the media still won’t warm up to Trump, it was what his supporters wanted to see, which was a willingness to tout his achievements and take on some of the claims from the media.

There ya go. It amazes me that so many, especially the media people, do not get who Trump is. He told them in his biography and his books, but they still don’t understand. He grew up in the streets of Queens & Brooklyn N.Y. He is absolutely a N.Y.City native. Simply to survive in those streets he had to be a scrapper. He does not “rant”, he speaks like most N.Yorkers. They do it “their way”in speech and actions. I think he’s hilarious and quick=witted. The press conference was splendid. I was glued to the tube.

Rush Limbaugh was a fence sitter during the primaries. He had his favorites and Trump clearly was not one of them.
To Rush’s credit, he recognized that hey, Trump could actually win and proceeded cautiously. But he never supported Trump in anything more than a notion or two.
Now that the cockroach survived Ragnarok, he’s climbed on the Trump bandwagon.
Timing the presser so that Rush carries it live to the intended audience doesn’t hurt either. :)

Rush brought us Obama. Keep that in mind.
Rush initiated “Operation Chaos” where Republicans in open primary states were to go vote for Obama in the Dem primaries on the assumption that the Democrat Party would never ever choose Obama over Hillary! - that their voters would revolt or Hillary! would work the system in a way that would expose Dem party corruption (much like she did do to Sanders this time). And even if Obama made it, he would be the weaker candidate against McCain.
Republicans crossed over, but the rest didn’t quite work out as Rush had planned. It was a stupid idea to begin with.
There is interesting piece of this that I am surprised no one has picked up on. Trump totally duped the MSM into calling his statements a “rant”, even supplying the word to them, when no person remotely in their right mind who actually listened or watched would characterize Trump as “ranting”.
(”Ranting” is what my wife on occasion does when our daughter tries to evade doing her schoolwork!)
So, Trump, by saying it does not apply, chooses an “extreme” descriptive word that does not apply, the media run with it, and further discredit themselves in the eyes of most of the people. And... I think he did it on the fly. This guy is a genius.
I have been shouting from the roof top for our President to do this and have been getting hammered here on FR for it. Saying get off tweeter and talk to the PEOPLE. He did a great job and looked very presidential.
The news conference that followed was even great.

President Trump gets an A+ for an excellent, extremely effective press conference.
And this was with the media trying to sabotage him.
